The pairing of the 2 would not result in them being the heroes they are, they would instead become self appointed gods.
Their respective love interest is what levels them to humanity. Especially Wonder Woman who used to share the same view the other Amazons had of man's world until she met Steve.
Superman is the same as without Lois he doesn't really feel human. In addition it made sense she was the anchor as the Kent family was dead in continuity for the longest time (then out of nowhere they were written to be alive out of nowhere) , before he became Superman.

Lois is more of a Bullseye for danger than she is an anchor. I'm fine if either SMWW happened or Superman stayed single either one is perfectly fine with me. I cannot stand Lois Lane.
Besides like I said, Lois has a knack for needing saving more than the goddamn planet does, she's gonna get him killed one day. But hey if he feels more Human because he has to save her dumbass every other day then fine.

Not really as Superman gets in trouble over the simple fact HE'S SUPERMANand half of his alien villains can tell who the hell he is with the glasses on.
The whole kidnapp thing is purely just pop culture thing that got amplified. Jimmy Olsen whole gimmick in the silver age was getting kidnapped.
Once again an average Superman comic goes like this "Someone wrecking shit, Sups fights him but gets away. Personal stuff happens, then alien returns to wreck shit them Superman beat him."
Wonder always gets kidnapped and needs someone to help her, whether or not it's Steve or just a god Buddy of hers depends on the writer. Her literal weakness is being tied up!!!!

I think they might do Brainiac since he's been revealed to be the villain of Injustice 2.Β In another attempt to cash in of other appearances, just like Harley Quinn and Suicide SquadΒ Β

How is DC Rebirth an apology? Was it bad for trying too hard to be dark? Just curious.

Rebirth is bringing back the light hearted stuff back, along with old character and continuity that was ruined or erase by the New 52. Rebirth is awesome!

I see. I'm just glad that was the case. Also, how did Dr. Manhattan cause all of this? I heard from the comments of how that was the case.

It not that hard since in Watchmen he has god like powers, and mentions he wants to create worlds

So Mr. Manhattan was responsible for the angst. I thought he was pretty cool despite never watching Watchmen, but now I'm starting to hate him if that was the case.

In Watchmen he was he guy that lost touch with his humanity and stopped caring. Since he knows the future.

I see, so why did he decided to make the DC Universe all angst then? I know he has world controlling powers, but does his ideal world have to be dark and gritty while being childish and dumb? I'm sorry, I am still getting used to the fact that it was all his doing.

Oracledk In reply to zenkai97 [2017-01-23 05:13:04 +0000 UTC]
I see the Manhattan making it the way it was not as his idea of a perfect world instead more of how he saw his, or how he sees humanity as a whole. Since he only saw the people in his world as self centered, willing to turn on each other, and will only work together when there a bigger threat to them.
Plus he didn't create the DC universe he changed it, he saw an opportunity and used Pandora to help him. I personally think the New 52 wasn't his only creation, I think he's been changing other universes themselves.

zenkai97 In reply to Oracledk [2017-01-23 05:39:00 +0000 UTC]
Oh dear god no. So basically Mr. Manhattan's view of humanity is the cause of all of that. Now I really hate the guy and my friend hyped him up to be this amazing super hero/villain.
If he is changing other universes then I think I see some signs of it. Like the new volume of RWBY has become darker, but at least it had it light moments. Hope Mr. Manhattan don't touch that universe more than he should have. Then you have that dark OVA of Jojo's Bizarre Adventure, I'm glad that the new anime made it funny like it should be. Then you have Marvel with their new Civil War.
I'm putting this guy in my most evilest villains list.

Multiverses are cannon in the DC universe but there is a rule in the company only 52 of them are cannon at a time. Plus manhattan did this when Barry already messed up the time line, which Pandora showed up to him staying to Barry to fix the world they had to change the universe, thus allowing Manhattan to create the New 52. (The changes were adding the Wildstorm characters, more Vertigo characters, and Batman Beyond to the main continuity).
If you read Watchmen you can totally see this as something he do. Manhattan is a great and interesting character but difficult to explain unless you read Watchmen.
Side note Alan Moore probably wants to freaking kill DC for adding Watchmen to the main universes.

zenkai97 In reply to Oracledk [2017-01-23 06:07:28 +0000 UTC]
I can understand how Alan feels as I don't want my characters be in the DC universe if they are forced to become angst and deal with idiotic civilians/government and heroes that want them dead with the exception of Batman who would be their only source of support. Then again that's only the New 52. Though not sure about the Rebirth as I never read it yet.
π: 0 β©: 1
Oracledk In reply to zenkai97 [2017-01-23 06:17:35 +0000 UTC]
No Alan Moore already hates them for owning the rights to Watchmen. Actually that world you describe is pretty much Watchmen as a whole since in the story all Superheroes are deemed illegal minis Manhattan because he works for the government.
Rebirth is a not a dark story, it establishes things at DC are changing. As characters the New 52 ruined are back to how they were before. Like the original Teen Titans are back with the new Book Titans.
The original Wally West is back, Blue Beetle is a lighthearted teenage superhero again that brings back Ted to be his mentor. The original Superman is back with the original Louise Lane raising a son. Terry McGinnis is back as Batman Beyond. Damian is now just a serious Robin and not emo like he's been most of the time in the New 52.
Judging from the sales you can tell Rebirth was the right move for DC to make. Bet Marvel wish they weren't so arrogant in ANAD.

I can agree with that. As for Marvel, I feel it's kind of strange that they are getting rid of the original heroes for the sake of diversity. Granted it is nice to have some multiracial or female heroes, but I sometimes feel that they are overdoing it. That's just me though.

Plus most of the changes are characters we never even seen before. The chick that replaced Iron Man her name was mentioned ONCE before she took over

zenkai97 In reply to Oracledk [2017-01-23 07:10:58 +0000 UTC]
To be fair, I can only tolerate this if they did it a little, but now they just flat out gets rid of everyone. The new Ms. Marvel, I like her and she's pretty well written. The new Captain America, better than the Hydra one. New Thor, sort of new at the time. The new Iron Man, I think I'm seeing a pattern here.

Oracledk In reply to zenkai97 [2017-01-23 15:05:36 +0000 UTC]
Well Sam he was with Cap for years before he took over. Ms. Marvel Carroll simply moved on to become Captain Marvel already.
Thor while a character that been established makes no sense. She literally took Thor's name just because she has his hammer. That's not how it previously worked.

Near the end of Darkseid war it's revealed there is 3 jokers (each one representing each comic era).
Then Rebirth was the next issue. Wally goes to Batman and Bruce finds the Comedian's smiling badge

No that's what I'm thinking they'll eventually do, since those 2 are the only villains on the same level as Dr. Manhattan, plus Darkseid is currently stuck inside of a baby's bodyΒ and Brainiac is somewhere in the multiverse studying it. So Brainiac should know about Manhattan and knowing his character will plot toΒ steal them to gather more information in something like "Imagine the possibilities of knowing everything on the level of a god."Β Β
