Description
ImageOn the way back from Skye =Alex37 and myself were hoping to make it to the Lakes by sunset, unfortunately due to heavy traffic in Glasgow meant we weren't going to make it. Not long before Carlisle on the M74 we notice the sky looked very promising and decided to pull off where ever it looked interesting. We both decided to go in different locations so I headed for a small group of trees where I found some interesting tree stumps (how interesting tree stumps get I don't know) the sun was retreating quickly so I snapped up the remaining light on the remains of this tree.
This is one of my favourite shots I have taken and I'm not sure why, but I like it. I used a mid aperture too keep the tree and wet grass as sharp as possible and to throw some of the background out too keep distractions to a minimum.

Nice light, I like the way it draws the eye to the stump.
