Description: Is there a lynx in the deserts of the Old World, eh? Maybe, its a caracal. Caracals lived in most parts of Africa(including the habitats where they prefer), Middle East, and South Asia, this included the Indian subcontinents. They looked a lot like lynxes(such ones as bobcats), because of the tufts on their long ears. These cats had very strong and long back legs, so they can jump up high as 3meters, on air to catch small flying birds. The royalties from India and Persia, that the caracals are trained to hunt the game birds, which makes them, in the future, that caracals are very good at jumping higher to reach flying birds, they can catch. As you notice, they have competitors for their kill, are foxes(e.g. Red and Fennec), leopards, hyenas(striped and brown, for example), and wolves(for example, African Golden, Eurasian Golden, and Eurasian Graey wolves).
