Description Common Name: Ceratotherium
Common Name Synonyms: White Rhinoceros, Greater African Rhinoceros, Ceratothere, Square-Lipped Rhino
Scientific Name: Ceratotherium simum
Size: 160-200cm tall in the shoulders, 340-450cm from snout to tail
Classification: Perissodactyl Ungulate
Habitat: Savannas, Grasslands, Swamps
Diet: Herbivorous; diet consisted of grass
Description: Amongst the charismatic and recognizable of Africa's mega-fauna, the Ceratotherium is one of the biggest and social of the 5 rhinos, and the largest land mammal in 2nd place, along with the Forest Loxodont(Loxodonta cyclotis), after the 2 elephants(one was the elephant(Elephas maximus), and the other was the bush loxodont(Loxodonta africana). Herbivorous grazers can graze grass, preferring the shortest grains, that Ceratotheres are the largest pure grazers. They can drink twice a day, if water is available, but if conditions are dry, they can survive 4 or 5 days without water. Unlike rhinos, which they are highly social, except for the mother-and-calf bonding, Ceratotheres lived in herds of up to 12 members(usually mostly cows). Sub-adult bulls will congregate, often with an association with an adult cow. Most bulls are solitary, like most rhinos, though dominant bulls mark their territory with urine and poop. No ceratotheres have natural predators, except for lions and human poachers. Mothers are more aggressive, as they can protect their calves from threats and harms. Did you know that most rhinos have very thick skins, poor eyesight, but excellent sense of smell and hearing? And you have never thought that the ceratotheres had the most widest set of nostrils of any land-based animals, did ya? 2 African rhinos and 1 Asian rhino have 2 big horns on top of their noses, such ones as the Diceros(aka Black Rhinoceros), the Ceratothere(aka White Rhinoceros), and the Dicerorhinus(aka Sumatran Rhinoceros).

I know ManticoreWarrior21  . Don't tell me, to the felinoid carnivorans, when I'm done with the perissodactyls.
