Description: Not only kalpanas are one of Jellielandia's best known animals, but one of Ingitiszoa's biggest musteloids, along with kalidahs, and they are even as big as elephant seals. Most kalpanas lived alone, or in big herd-like group, leads by the breeding pair of alphas, or lead by a male, or even a female. They can forage together like gorillas do, however, when you showed them no harm, they can be really nice and friendly. Kalpana mothers can save their pups from danger, and predators. Not all kallypanas are vegetarians, like giant pandas, some lone giants can scavenge, compete against an armorlion, the brainshrinker, a clan of hyapins, a pack of leucrottas, the kalidah, pack of coyotahs, or even lung dragons. Like most mongooses and honey badgers, they are immune to venom from small arachnids and snakes, to zakis and coyotahs' bites. People can easily domesticate a kalpana, to make them their powerful guard pets, but they are much elephant-sized. All kalpanas did look like hybrids between sloth bears, tigers, and Gigantopithecuses or Orang-e-tans, but they are more closely related to raccoons. They have dexterous front paws, that can be used are front feet and hands. Or in a long version that the kalpana is described as a mysterious creature, that has a head and body of a sloth bear, arms of Gigantopithecus or Orang-e-tan, back legs, tail, and fur-coat coloring like a tiger, which makes kalpanas being the only procyonid that had more stripes than any other procyonid. Kalpanas are sexually dimorphic, which males are bigger, muscular, but short-maned, while females are slender-bodied, with slightly larger hips, almost dull-colored, and their manes are slightly longer and lighter than males. In mating seasons that kalpanas fight each other for their mates, like this; males vs. males for females, and/or females vs. females for males. Female kalpanas can give birth to, from one to four pups, while hibernating, much like bear sows do. Like aardwolves, striped and brown hyenas, and hyapins, their manes can fluff up, depends on their emotions. While fighting, the kalpanas can use their manes for protection from their enemies that goes right onto the backs of their necks. But like mother bears, which they can protect their pups from intruders and danger, mother kalpanas can be territorial towards another mother kalpana, especially when a latter is not really nice to a former, unless they are so glad they get to know well.

I actually pictured the kalpana as giant viverrid (that is, a civet) rather than a procyonid. Take a look at this African civet, and tell me it doesn't look similar: animalsadda.com/wp-content/upl…

Pretty much. Besides, vertically striped body markings are unknown in the suborder Caniformia, but widespread in the Feliformia. 's description of the creature-- a cross between a bear, a tiger, and an ape--even calls to mind a real vivid species, the Binturong. Binturongs are also known as "bearcats", and they have monkey-like hands and tails, bear-like faces, and cat-like bodies.
So if the Kalpana were to be classified as a real animal, it would most likely be a giant viverrid, perhaps a relative of the binturong.

Thanks for the suggestion yo. Similar to what HewyToonmore suggest me to change my Equitaur into a Dadyanches, he calls the 'equitaur,' and do an ipotane. What a selfish coward he is.

You know I can read your responses when you tag me, right? Also, I am not a coward, you are a stubborn baby.

I didn't call you stupid, but you have a bad temper and you refuse to admit when you've made a mistake.

Well, we all mistakes. That's it, I think I'm telling Benny about you call me a stubborn baby, or better what I think you're trying to call me, a stubborn donkey.

Okay, first off, I suggested you rename your equitaur into an Ipotane, because I was just trying to be helpful so you could be more accurate to Greek myths. Your explanation for why your Equitaur is different was very sufficient and you could've just left it at that. But instead, you did the immature thing by tagging me and calling me a selfish coward. Was it your intention to get my attention with that remark? If not, then maybe you should not have tagged me on your post. Why must you feel like I am attacking you when all I am doing was trying to help and give advice and suggestions. But instead, you treat me like I'm insulting your drawings, which I would NEVER do, and treat me like I'm the school bully and threaten to "tell on me". Not a very grown up thing to do, is it?

Well I'm so sorry, but you didn't insult all my drawings! Thank you for a good help! I still know why ipotanes and silenuses are same as... well, silenuses, which both humanoid species are similar to humans, except they had ears, and sometimes tail and legs like a horse, otherwise the ipotane is like the earliest version of the centaur! For a second thought, about telling RetroUniverseArt on you for calling me a stubborn baby(or what I think better, a stubborn donkey), of course not sure? But I'm so sorry for the verbal insults Logan.

It's alright. Also, stop tagging people, it's how you get their attention for something you do not want them to see.
