Description
The Sicaran Venator is a heavy tank destroyer variant of the standard Sicaran Battle Tank. The Sicaran Venator removes the standard Sicaran’s turret and hull-mounted Heavy Bolter and replaces it with a hull-mounted Neutron Laser Cannon.When this vehicle rolled off the assembly forges in the early 31st millennium, the Sicaran Venator represented a breakthrough in Neutron Laser technology. Before the Venator’s creation, Neutron Lasers could only be mounted in super heavy chassis like the Cerberus Heavy Tank Destroyer.
The Sicaran Venator was highly valued by the Legiones Astartes for the combination of mobility and protection provided by the Sicaran Battle Tanks' chassis. In addition, it had the potent firepower it could unleash in the form of its compact Neutron Laser Projector. However, because of the exotic nature of Neutron Laser technology, the production of the Sicaran Venator is limited.
