Hallo Peter, ich hatte eigentlich geplant, nach der (kirchlichen) Hochzeit (wenn der Stress vorbei ist) umzusteigen, doch leider bin ich in den letzten 6 Wochen (also seit der Rückkehr von unserer Hochzeitsfeier) beruflich so im Stress, dass ich einfach nicht dazu komme...bin mir auch noch nicht sicher, ob ich mich für win 7 oder 8. 1 entscheide. Was meinst Du? Mein XP mit SP2 läuft übrigens immernoch rund.... 
Hab mir zwischendurch ein Smartphone (Google LG Nexus 4 mit Android 4.3) zugelegt, macht Spaß, frisst aber auch Freizeit, weil man viel damit rumspielt. Beste Grüße aus Köln in die Pfalz!

Was soll man da raten? Ich tendiere dazu Windows8.1 zu empfehlen. Ist ein bisschen gewöhnungsbedürftig am Anfang, aber ansonsten nicht schlecht. Allerdings spioniert es Dich gnadenlos aus. Irgendwie erschreckend heutzutage.
Dann mal noch viel Spass mit Deinem Smartphone.

Nice work ! The font in Windows 8 and 8.1 is Segoe UI not Segoe WP. And the buttons and tabs don't look like Windows 8. They have slight gradient.

Segoe WP is only used for SBar in this deviation. For any reason SBar has a very bad font rendering. So i used Segoe WP because it looks a little bit smarter with Sbar. All other stuff uses Sgoe UI.
Sysdm.cpl and themeui.dll are modified systemfiles. The tabs and buttons of these files are not part of them. Their appearance depends on the msstyle file. Maybe i change it, if i get the motivation.

Not to sound rude, but why not just get Windows 8. XP is so outdated, insecure, and lacking in features...

No prob. I have all Windows OSses, and i like to fool around with them. For security reasons i always have a dual boot system. So i can use one OS to repair the other one if something is going wrong. It is just for fun that's all.
