Well while the NSA may be no secret, there are other organization just like them in other countries, I guarantee you that. The media likes to stretch and distort things quite a bit, it's hard to tell what's exactly the NSA is doing. Either way, I'm not going to let this control the way I use my computer.

I use Update1 of Windows 8.1 since it is leaked, and it works very fine. Windows8 is getting better and better. Of course it is better than Windows XP. Only it is not fair to compare a very old OS with a brandnew one. XP is still doing a good job for such an old OS.
There will never be a OS again, which is so highly customizable like XP. Bad news for Customizers. But time is going on.

I think you talk about the feature pack. This is only because there are some probs with installation, mostly in big networks of companies. The pack itself works fine. I use it since weeks. It will be available soon again.

I really wan tto see if it is stable on 512mb of RAM. I have a old machine at home that used to have XP, but has 7 Ultimate on it, and I have heard Windows 8 has so much better handling on resources, I think it may run smoother.

I think it will be stable but very slow. I gave it only one core and 512 mb RAM in a VM. It wokrd, but it was no fun.

I am not sure if i will release it. It's not easy to install for pc newbies, and so it may cause some complaints if they don't get it working.
