***Full View Please***Well, here she is... FINALLY!
This mermaid has taken me for ever to finish...
I did the initial sketch for her about 3 - 4 months ago & I've only just finished painting her tonight.
Not much background to her, other than I wanted to paint a mermaid & she looked pretty.
A3 Watercolours with Gold Acrylic for the jewellery settings & chains.
Iridescent medium used on pearls & on her tail (pity it doesn't show all the pretty glittery scales I painted in

I've got some of that iridescent medium tucked away somewhere... I don't think I've used it yet, but just looking at it in the bottle is rewarding, because it's so pretty. It's a shame stuff like that can't be picked up by scanners.
A very difficult pose (in my opinion) but good job with it. I definitely like the ear-fin!

Yeah, I like ear fins... I must admit that I have an awful amount of trouble doing mermaids.
I love drawing them, but for some strange reason I find them difficult. Not sure why

Yeah, that souds a bit weird. When I used to draw big cats in high school, I always thought cheetahs were so hard compared to the others. O_o But I suppose the more you draw mermaids the better they will get....

Yeah the medium is fun to play around with...
I probably could've gotten it to show up a bit better in the scan, but I really didn't feel like fiddling with it. Might do down the track though.
