Happy St Patrick's Day to one & all!My first painting of 2009!
A wee fae is enjoying a deep, restful slumber amongst the Shamrocks... No doubt dreaming of rainbows, pots of gold & gigantic pints of Guiness *lol*
I love the combo of green & pinky/purples.. It just works.

As someone possessing a painfully Irish surname and having Irish blood in mongerel bloodline, I am embarrassed to admit that I completely overlooked St Pat's Day. My bad, to be sure.
Sorry about that! Green and purple are opposites so they attract each other. Very nicely painted, and congrats with getting 2009 off to a good start, art-wise.

I can't say that I 'celebrate' it, as such. The hubby & I usually have a Guiness or Kilkenny or two... and wear a green shirt, but that's about it.
Otherwise I try & make sure that I do an artwork of the occasion each year. I live painting with greens & this is a perfect excuse
