Description
Acolytes of the mad god Rularuu, the Rula-Shin sport increasing-squicky organic armor as they progress in rank. The large moving eyeball in the center is a trademark of the faction.This particular concept is what we call a "paintover," meaning that some of the art is just a screen capture from the game. In this case, the base costumes are screenshots, and all the new armor has been painted in.

Much as I think your concept work it generally high quality the Rula-shin were (IMHO) a real low point, other than eyeballs (which isn't really a Rularu thing just look at the wisps/brutes/natterlings) They really don't "fit" any of the existing shard look-or-feel. Still, I doubt that's your fault as it's obvious that very little 3d time was allowed for the designs as you can tell from the cobbled-together-from-the-costume-generator look.

Looks really good the only thing is the skirt it looks too good guyish. The organic pieces looks awesome!

Painted armor looks good!
Best part of these guys was the new custom pieces you guys made for them. They were great and very well done.
However I wasn't a fan of the rest of the design or color scheme. To me, they looked like something from a bad AE farm map.

For something Rularuu based I'd honestly rather they'd had more unique parts. I mean, the Valkyrie kilt just seems...eh. I dunno. I'd have thought something that looked like it was made of Brute hide. Mebbe it's just me.

I think that these turned out very well - they were hot on the heels of the Circle of Thorns makeover, and share the same mad mystical cultists in man-skirts, masks, hoods and spikes kind of background, but you managed to make the two groups look distinctive from each other.

And here I always imagined a rularuu armor to look like the Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann.
Either way, it's an interesting look, both in my RP and in real life I wonder if those eyeballs are actually functional?

Also, though these guys were kind of small time in-story terms (I imagine Rularuu himself doesn't even give them much regard) I would love to see more of these guys in the future.
