About the MOCIt was Wretched--Stare 's birthday recently and he's a huge Dark Souls fan, so to show some appreciation I embarked on a journey to build my largest MOC I've made in a while, if not ever. I was going to build a really huge Mimic. But that journey was short lived when I realized I had significantly less brown than I thought I did.
So instead I opted for a cute Chibified Mimic . I call him Mr. Nibbles. He likes Bacon Cheeseburgers. 
I designed him in a way where the legs and the "Mimic bits" all come off easily. I would have liked for it all to fold up inside, but at this size that wasn't going to happen so I opted for "easily removable" instead. The teeth fold up inside the chest though.

Oh no, a dude in Armor, like there isn't a zillion of those in Dark Souls. 
That's cool though. I could never play those games. I ragequit way too easily at video games, and I can't afford that many controllers. Maybe if I had like a padded room to play in.

Well that was just a fun biproduct of building the Mimic, but I actually built it as a gift for my friend Wretched--Stare who's a big Dark Souls fan. I asked him if I could build anything from those games what would he want and he picked them Mimic. Which I'm glad cause I was all prepared to build this big giant huge thing, but he went easy on me and picked that.

Mr. Nibbles. I like it. Really nice MOC. I can't help but wonder if he was a problem to balance though, on such small legs?

So thank you for all the compliments and nice things and the comments left on my stuff. Glad to get the feedback. Though maybe try to do it more frequently instead of blowing the load all at once?
No not really. The mata feet provide enough stabilization and the MOC is pretty decently balanced between the lid and the tongue. Where the legs are actually positioned helps a lot to since they're actually closer to the back than in the middle or front. He's not hard to stand up at all. He's a perfect little chap to play around with and pose.

am i the only one who enjoys encountering those guys in d&d, ... meaby its cause my character is chaotic evil and tends to put his foes in the mimic...

i love it when the mimic is like the intire building. i once had a d&d campain where like an intire castle consited out of mimic. Like when we realised it every freacking piece of furniture every brick got a mouth. it was crazy...
