Description
Description and bio. Marvel at the colossus of the desert, devastator of plateaus, a mechanize malicious menace...MOTOTAUR! Part man, part savage beast, all fury. Mototaur is core member of the Insurgence Of Darkness, trumped by only one other member, but only in cunning. His size, that of a mountain, strength far surpassing that of protosteel, speed aided by his motorized feet and body, is reach, that of the length of a kohli field with his bohrok head morning star.Mototaur is very old, perhaps one of the oldest members of the insurgence. It is said that he was unearthed from deep within one of the nui islands, released from imprisonment set upon him long ago by the order of mata Nui to wreak havoc upon the deserts of Metru nui. Despite being old Mototaur acts and moves as if he were young. This is perhaps the result of a hibernation brought on by the imprisonment. It is known that Remaku is the one who sought him out and released him. The details are all rumored as Mototaur's wrath upon the sands was of a sudden one, appearing as if a sandstorm. Villagers of the various desert regions simply stay out of his way and bend to his will, for he could singlehandedly be the down fall of a village. Only teams of toas and titans have bested him, and only rarely
The new build
Mototaur got a massive overhaul from the previously "completed" version. He's been completely rebuilt from the abdomen down. A third pneumatic piston was incorporated into his torso for optimum stability. His forearms redone to include Caterpillar tracks in them. His neck has been fleshed out, his head received additions and additional armor has been placed here and there. This revamp has proven most challenging at ever turn, even leading me down dead ends thusly having to backtrack.
Unfortunately, he's not everything I envisioned in the new designs. His stability is near what it used to be but sadly not of the standard I'd like it to be and I lack the proper parts to adequately see this though. But his designs are sufficient enough to be shared and considered a Complete version of him. In due time I will once again revisit what by now is probably my signature MOC to hopefully improve upon what I deem to be inferior designs and make hims stabler and more poseable. Maximum stability and poseablity is my ultimate goal with these larger MOCs.
Now while its said that this is Version 3, this is actually a much later version, but I've lost track of how many version I had before the first version posted here on

Thank you. I just looked at him again, you're right. Its kinda funny how the brown mata feet are actually kinda used as feet, then the whole rest of the motorcycle feet are built off of that.

It's no problem, when I fav something it is because it's because I really like it & I think it deserves merit.

I doubled up on a lot of figure from 2004-2006. I'd get two of everything for MOCing.

HAHA Yeah I expected this comment from you when you said the same thing about Ryakk. Mototaur isn't together anymore. I took him apart because I wasn't happy with his build, I'd like to bring him back when I have the money to order better parts and be better able to control what parts I use to recreate him.

Looking at this again, it still amazes me how many structural uses Mata feet provide.

Yeah I guess they do have a great many structural use. They're sturdy little parts to so you can require a lot from em.

Ports-the places you can connect into.

Oh okay thought that's what you meant, but wasn't sure, and I don't like to assume. Yeah it had decent ports. Really just on the bottom. The socket though is like the sturdiest ball socket of any lego piece with those I think. I've never had one of those sockets crack or break on me. And I've got a lot of Mata Feet.

theMOCmaker In reply to Plague-Doc-Matteo [2013-04-15 13:52:54 +0000 UTC]
No, I'm saying that most everything in that era was brittle but his feet weren't.

Plague-Doc-Matteo In reply to theMOCmaker [2013-04-15 14:24:09 +0000 UTC]
Ooooh I gotcha. Yeah Totally. HAHA I think its the mold itself. The sockets on newer parts like the long double socket connectors were too weak. The old single sockets usually never break for me, neither do the Mata feet, and I don't think I've had too many Bohrok feet break on me. Though I know I've had a few. The 2004 short double socket connectors don't seem to break on me either.

Yeah, LEGO got a bit cheaper. Although, I think that's helped the miniMOC movement somewhat, since they don't put pressure on their components like Colossi.

Chances are its probably fake, some kind of recast someone did. Gotta watch out for those in the lego world. Especially in Asian countries. They try to make knockoffs look as real as possible.
