Description
Description and bio. Marvel at the colossus of the desert, devastator of plateaus, a mechanize malicious menace...MOTOTAUR! Part man, part savage beast, all fury. Mototaur is core member of the Insurgence Of Darkness, trumped by only one other member, but only in cunning. His size, that of a mountain, strength far surpassing that of protosteel, speed aided by his motorized feet and body, is reach, that of the length of a kohli field with his bohrok head morning star.Mototaur is very old, perhaps one of the oldest members of the insurgence. It is said that he was unearthed from deep within one of the nui islands, released from imprisonment set upon him long ago by the order of mata Nui to wreak havoc upon the deserts of Metru nui. Despite being old Mototaur acts and moves as if he were young. This is perhaps the result of a hibernation brought on by the imprisonment. It is known that Remaku is the one who sought him out and released him. The details are all rumored as Mototaur's wrath upon the sands was of a sudden one, appearing as if a sandstorm. Villagers of the various desert regions simply stay out of his way and bend to his will, for he could singlehandedly be the down fall of a village. Only teams of toas and titans have bested him, and only rarely
The new build
Mototaur got a massive overhaul from the previously "completed" version. He's been completely rebuilt from the abdomen down. A third pneumatic piston was incorporated into his torso for optimum stability. His forearms redone to include Caterpillar tracks in them. His neck has been fleshed out, his head received additions and additional armor has been placed here and there. This revamp has proven most challenging at ever turn, even leading me down dead ends thusly having to backtrack.
Unfortunately, he's not everything I envisioned in the new designs. His stability is near what it used to be but sadly not of the standard I'd like it to be and I lack the proper parts to adequately see this though. But his designs are sufficient enough to be shared and considered a Complete version of him. In due time I will once again revisit what by now is probably my signature MOC to hopefully improve upon what I deem to be inferior designs and make hims stabler and more poseable. Maximum stability and poseablity is my ultimate goal with these larger MOCs.
Now while its said that this is Version 3, this is actually a much later version, but I've lost track of how many version I had before the first version posted here on

Thanks. I've worked on it over the course of about 5 years, redoing designs, improving and changing it. That's how I work on a lot of my MOCs.

Nice, that's not how I do mine, though. I do mine by creating an initial skeleton, leaving it for a few days to think about what to do with it, add things on, improve the skeleton's structure, add stuff on, et cetera.....

Hey, cool creation. By the way, I happen to be trying to sell some bionicles; wondering if you were interested. I'm selling them at a price that's cheaper than the ones on ebay, and I do have a lot of them. I have sets of every type from 2001 to 2007, including many of the large sets. You can email me at eric.mulhern@gmail.com.

Plague-Doc-Matteo In reply to thebigu007 [2011-09-26 11:11:36 +0000 UTC]
Thank you, but I wouldn't say I've mastered it. I'm a long ways from mastery, more like being a degree of black belt. Mototaur here has become that one piece in an artists collection of works that can't ever be done right, or finished.

Thanks. It has. I've worked on a lot of my MOCs over the course of years, refining the designs and trying to improve on them. I guess you could say that a lot of them are works in progress.

I believe we addressed this in the other comment. Again I'm sorry. I actually get a lot of people asking me about their MOCs. It gets a little confusing who asked for what, and when.

biofanVN In reply to Plague-Doc-Matteo [2011-10-04 13:29:07 +0000 UTC]
yeah, since the price was a lot from the moment they release the Glatorians, i'm not allow to buy Bionicle anymore, you can see, in my works, there're all old pieces.....

Plague-Doc-Matteo In reply to biofanVN [2011-10-04 15:52:09 +0000 UTC]
Yeah I can. Wow that sucks. Sorry to hear that. So bionicle isn't something you'll really be able to do then if you're parents won't let you get anymore. How much is a typical bionicle or hero factory set?
π: 0 β©: 1
biofanVN In reply to Plague-Doc-Matteo [2011-10-05 00:40:05 +0000 UTC]
around 15 dollars........that's a lot in Vietnamese for a Bionicle.....
π: 0 β©: 1
Plague-Doc-Matteo In reply to biofanVN [2011-10-05 02:48:52 +0000 UTC]
Now is that $15 USD's with the exchange rate or 15 USDs into Vietnamese Dongs? Cause the currency converter tells me that its a lot. 312,450. it said. So what would a reasonable price be?
π: 0 β©: 1
biofanVN In reply to Plague-Doc-Matteo [2011-10-05 05:16:47 +0000 UTC]
that's considered a lot in Vietnam for a 9 inches high Bionicle....
π: 0 β©: 1
Plague-Doc-Matteo In reply to biofanVN [2011-10-05 05:35:30 +0000 UTC]
Ah okay. But like I said what would be a reasonable amount for a standard canister set? If I don't know what's reasonable I can't know what's too expensive.
π: 0 β©: 1
biofanVN In reply to Plague-Doc-Matteo [2011-10-05 13:51:21 +0000 UTC]
a standard one, that costs around 15$, it maybe a reasonable price, but not in Vietnam, our average salary/year is only around 1000$
