Description Captain Malice was a selfish man. He took what he wanted, and didn't much care how, or who he had to kill to get it. Deep down inside, Matteo knew that this was not who he really was, nor was this the man his wife Dulcinea had fallen in love with and spent over a century with. Here lied a great conflict with in the soul of a man. Who was he now, was he the man...or the Mask?

I wanted to post this photo separately because I really liked it, and wanted to highlight it specifically and independently from the other photos.

This is a very different Matteo that we are used to seeing. He is wandering through life, taking for himself, scheming and bringing to fruition his machinations, as shallow as they may be. He has lost his way, and the only comfort he now knows now is that of his crew, his ship, the sea, and the drink. The life of a pirate, especially a successful one has a veneer of sheen to it that seems alluring at first, but it is just that, a veneer, a thin layer, and he is ignoring that which are the deepest parts of him. Anger, pain and loss still plagues his heart, and despite his best effort, he cannot drown these memories and feelings in the sea.
