WOW, IS SALMON RUN ADDICTING. Lately I've been playing it even more than the original Splatoon gamemodes. And that's saying something.If you ever take a moment to look at some of the Boss Salmonids before mercilessly splatting them, a lot of them have some really creative designs. I wanted to draw the Stinger because it's my favorite boss in the game, both in character design and gameplay mechanics, plus its tower of pots made it a great opportunity to practice with perspective. I originally drew this as an in-game post a week ago, but I liked it so much I decided to do it again in a medium I can control better, and, well, here it is.

Thankfully, these towering fish are easy to take out. But it's just as easy to be taken out by them.

Salmon Run is a gift and so is this drawing.
I also really love the whole grungy, jerry-rigged aesthetic they have with all their equipment built out of scrap machinery, cookware and such.
The Salmonids are right up there next to the Octarians in the list of races I can sympathize with more than Inklings.

The environment design in Salmon Run is one of my favorite parts of the game too. Every time I play on any of the maps, I'm struck by how much I wouldn't want to visit it in person...

I think it would be neat to visit, But probably only safe from behind a 12.7cm thick piece of plexiglass.
It would probably also be a good idea to wear a respirator.

The only one worse than this piss boy is the guys shooting the missiles! And they're BOTH always aimed at me, of course.

Apparently you can kill them with a splashdown now. I tried it last night but didn't quite make it. I think you need to be directly over them, and their hatches probably need to be open as well.

As far as I've seen, using Splashdowns against Flyfish is super-janky and usually you just slam into them and die. Considering it's one of my favorite specials in the game, I'm pretty disappointed.

With the recent update, they supposedly changed the game mechanic to allow you to kill them that way. But I assume it has to make direct contact. I tried it and didn't quite touch the missile launcher pods, and the resulting wave of ink didn't seem to have any effect, so I assume you have to touch them and do it from above, if you can manage. They're such a pain in the ass lol

If you get the Splashdown, you can OHKO a Stinger.

Not if you're on the other side of the map trying not to get hit by his ray.
