But then there's comes something about sketches not being ugly and colouring covering the whole thing... And I've regained interest in drawing since crappy lines are gone :>

it helps but some lines that I make using the pen tool look weird
π: 0 β©: 1
Popo-Licious In reply to DesertdustSariah [2011-11-30 17:25:01 +0000 UTC]
Make sure that you're using the default brush. Special brushes can sometimes include jitter settings, which will give you an uneven stroke. :3

THANK YOU SOOOOOO MUCH! i always wondered how you guys got such perfect lines but now i know~ Again THANK YOU SOOOOOO MUCH!
but im a little confused on how we stroke it and get color on that line
π: 0 β©: 1
Popo-Licious In reply to LiteAngel [2011-11-28 19:05:55 +0000 UTC]
If you want your line to be a different color when you stroke the path, just use the color selector like you normally would. :3 Whatever color is in the foreground is the color that will be used. If you mean that you want the path a different color, that isn't possible. I just recolored the path to make it more visible in the tutorial. ;3

i just dont know how too make the brush size smoother, and bigger....v.v.,
π: 0 β©: 1
Popo-Licious In reply to RomyellJB [2011-11-26 02:57:51 +0000 UTC]
Well, if you want a bigger brush, just use the normal brush selector and slide the brush to a higher number. :3 For smoothness, try opening the brush palette and setting "Spacing" to 1%.

it looks really hard.. seems it would be easier to draw normally using the brush tool? haha
π: 0 β©: 1
Popo-Licious In reply to yakkingyetis [2011-11-23 15:36:25 +0000 UTC]
Obviously using the brush tool is easier. No argument there. ;3 However, the brush is severely limited in comparison to the pen tool on certain accounts. I prefer to use a combination between the two; brush for details, eyes, etc. and the pen tool for lines that need to be straight, perfectly curved, etc. I was looking at your gallery, and I can see where you would prefer the brush. The pen tool definitely isn't for anything painterly. XD
