I would just go back to the very first step, right at the top, and double check that your settings look like mine. It sounds like maybe another option was selected at the top. :3

Thank you (qββΏβΏβq)<3

It's just the default 1px brush on 100% hardness. Select that brush, and raise the size to maybe 5 or 6. :3 If you want the line to be tapered on the edges, play around in the brush palette. ;3

I have the pen tool. I just can't find the Tools Options/Settings Bar... =/

Hmmm... Well, at should be right at the top of the screen, under File/Edit/Etc. I don't know where else it would be! Maybe you could send me a screenshot? I haven't used that version of Photoshop.

Here is a screenshot.

Is there a way where you can hide the options bar? Because maybe someone in my family hid it and I just don't know how to get it back...

Oh! Well, here's a question... When you've been clicking on the pen tool, looking for the settings bar, did you also have a canvas open? If not, there's your problem. Settings for the tools can't be accessed without a file of some kind being on-screen. If that still doesn't work, open a file, select the tool, and see if the bar is located under the Window menu. It might be it's own palette in your version of Photoshop. :3

Yes, I have. Oh well, maybe this old version just doesn't have it. Haha. Thanks for trying to help though. ^w^

Don't be! It's not your fault at all. I can still use the pen tool I just can't get the tapered ends or anything. No big deal. The rest of your tutorial was still really helpful. Thank you! ^w^

It can tricky, which is why most people don't bother with it. After you get the hang of it, it becomes a really good asset. :3
