That's something I haven't really worked out all the way, but I have a pretty good idea of where I'm going with it.

Sax uses a combination of things. Her primary sense is thermal vision (note the heat pits on her lower jaw, just behind the antennae). This sense is fairly close to light-based sight, and can be seen in action here [link] . She doesn't pick up visual light, but this is her main way of navigating. Secondly, she has a powerful sense of smell, which she uses by drawing air over her palate (in the back of her mouth). I have considered that she may pick up vibration in the air through the soft flesh of her vents (along her neck), but I'm not sure how well this would work, with the nature of air.

The antennae are a short-range means of sensing things such as texture and temperature, but are also used for communication.

Hell yeah. So she's a she, interesting. Sorry I've done no research on most of your universe, sad face. but yeah I feel like looking through her eyes would be crazy to animate! Oh man! but hey, you do what you gotta do I hope you get that bit of her ironed out. I love that she's find of got two ways of seeing, but one doesn't really dominate the other, that might be cool to do? Anyway, I'm a fan so, I'll love it regardless. lol I'd love to see Sax using those antennae to feel some character, freakin' them out. lol

Yep, she's a big mean lady

And there's not much to do research on. I've only really discussed most of this with one person.

I may never fully iron it out, but I'll keep working on it! It's a fun thing to do
