This way everything keeps fluid and neat.

This is supposed to be a basic tutorial.
It would be soo long if I added all my tips and details :<
I was planning to do the hershey's holder tutorial next but I lost my folding paper ;_;'' OTL

So good to see people actually doing some good in-betweened animations out there. Not that flash tweens can't be effective but you can't beat good old fashioned real in-betweening for good movement
I always animate on 25fps so it matches the PAL format frame rate so I can use stuff in showreels for video... but i don't often animate on 1's
25 fps for Australia, 24 fps for America... and everywhere else I have absolutely no idea

Thank you thank you thank you. I learned the minimal basic skils of flash pretty easily. Like doing animated banners and little things like that. Then I wanted to graduate to another lvl and start animating little characters like this. Sooooo I bought a book and used other learning tools but found them very complicated for the most part. This has made it so much more simple for me. I'm working on a little something now and if I finish anytime soon I'll give you the link. Thanks again!

D'oh, extremely useful. Wish my multimedia teacher would have shown me this D: !! I had no clue what an onion skin was! but now I know how people get such smooth animations.. I'll keep this in mind next time I work in Flash ;D thankyou!!

BTW, what does OTL stand for?

OTL is a text image of a man bending down in failz
O = head, T = body and arm, L = legs

personal opinion and i know this is gonna rub alot of people the wrong way. but flash is poo.
try toonboom, if your just going for basic animation, its alot simpler and the drawing tool is alot nicer (still annoying because it vectorises everything)
if anyone knows of an animation program that doesnt use vectors can you pm me? ive been looking for one for aaages (like mirage which they just decided to stop making 
because i dont wanna be flamed just thought id clarify this doesnt mean that i think that every animation done in flash is poo. far from it. i just hate the program
