notta problem dude. i've been a metroid fan since 1995 and i've been watching the design of the characters like the space pirate develop and i have to admit that i like corruptions version of them the best by a long shot. it even gave them a ranking too. normal pirate, commando pirate, and commander pirate. can't wait till we can see the king or whatever pirate.

Ah, so sad, the beautiful space pirate concept art that never made it into the game. Which is a shame considering I always liked this one, but the concept that actually made it into the game isn't bad either.
You recreated this beautifully and accurately. The detail and texture on the pirate, in particular, is vast. And good job using the mechanical pencil. Not always an easy drawing tool to use, but when used right it can create something incredible, as shown here.
I also thought the transparent glass was done successfully. The faded innards along with the shadow from its leg displays that, I think.

This is great, it's just like the official artwork from the manual. All the eguipment looks good, the space pirate looks great, very accurate, although it depends on what you are using as a reference for accurate, as there are several pirate subspecies.

I wouldn't complain about the background... it looks fine. It really couldn't look any better with that frickin' gorgeous, well drawn, super detailed, amazingly shaded character in the foreground. Did I mention it looks great? It looks like a lot of work and care went into this, and it paid off. Just.... wow!

There were cybernetical spacefaring lobster-things in both of these books if I'm not mistaken.

Thanks X3 It's probably one of the most frustrating images of a Space Pirate I've ever done. I used 0.7mm lead, which is like the equivilant of like...jeez...charcoal or some junk. So if I BREATHED wrong on it, it smeared like hell and destroyed whatever detail happened to be in the area -_-+
Now that it's finished and sprayed though, it's safe, so I'm happy
