Description

The Obbeeysian Prince class was designed by Quinn Fulton in 1905. This class of 0-4-2 tender engines was yet another successful design in her developing line of industrial steam engines. This design was the tender variant of the Princess class, as well as an evolution of the previous Duke class, being a bit more expensive, but more powerful as well. This class had boilers capable of reaching 195 psi. Over the years the engines gained boilers capable of reaching higher boiler pressures multiple times.

As always, the Obbeeysian Coal Mining Company bought the prototype of this class, as well as another non-faceless member of this class and one faceless one.

The Crinkyl Iron Mining Corporation, founded in 1904 when they found iron deposits near Crinkyl, ordered three members of this class, one of which was non-faceless. When in 1916 the need for more powerful engines arose, the two faceless Princes were withdrawn from service and cannibalized for parts for the remaining member of their class owned by the company.
