A tablet is used instead of a mouse. It is a flat..well..tablet, that may be anywhere from 3x5 inches all the way up to 8x10 and larger. It uses a pressure sensitive pen to simulate non-digital illustration, painting, etc.
Prices range from $50 up to several thousand (oh how I want one of those)

I got an intuos4 about 6 months ago, and I LOVE the thing. It hardly ever leaves a metre of my desk.

Wow. The hair on this is how I want my OC Monarch's hair to look. This is just what I needed to get out of my art block, considering I have 8 weeks to go til my Art Production Exam . Thank you so much for this.

Do you have a brush tutorial for this kind of coloring? Or are you just using a regular round brush?

This tutorials shows me a lot of what I'm doing wrong when I try to CG something. I seem to always start on the wrong things. I should probably start with the backgrounds first and make sure I don't rush them. I need to learn to lay down the dark colors first. I'm going to save this for future reference.

bleh .... im tryin a pic and is having trobel getting the lines extracted u--u .... i mean i can get to the part where you inverse then add a new layer and use a paint bucket .. but then im stuck u--u;;;;;;
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
Roggles In reply to Anime0dreamerX [2006-06-22 20:26:33 +0000 UTC]
oh, right um... well wen u go to channels, click the circle this on the bottom left (1st icon) of the channel tab, or alternatively, use ctrl+click on a layer on the channel tab, then inverse the selection by doing ctrl+shift. now the selection is inveres so instead of filling the white parts with the paint bucket,it fills in the lines ^^...now to fill in with the bucket tool, go back to the layers tab. then make a new layer and fill it, now deselct it, and you've successfully extracted the lines ^^
