Description
This prop only works with create.swf extended .Version 1.1:added curve control point editing(press Z). added colorize support(press C).
Manipulating arms has always been sort of awkward, and this won't necessarily fix that, but it will offer another option. what this does is allows you to set down a location and when tethered to another prop via the "attached" effect will create an arm whose curve can be manipulated somewhat, the arm can be any length so you could extend the arm instead of moving them away from the shoulders.
To use this prop create a character and detach their arms(click their prop menu and click detach->arms). Once you have detached arms, import this prop and apply the "attached" effect, the dynamic arm will now generate, drawing as a curve towards the attached's effect target. When this prop is properly set up it will also hide the arm leaving only the sleeve behind.
You can change the arm's color by selecting it and pressing C.
You can edit the curve by selecting it, and press/hold Z, it will then curve towards where your cursor is pointed.
Long sleeved arms may be problematic to use this prop with.

why is this a .swf file? CreateX only accepts .png stuff

This prop utilizes SWF coding to create a variety of arm curves as well as the removal of the original arm graphics. i'm pretty sure create.swf can handle most of the very basic image file formats as well as SWF, though createX is needed to enable vector and code features of SWF files.

Oh. So I don’t do anything other than importing?

Bug report: the blur effect doesn't work properly with the dynamic arm.
Even at the lowest settings, it is extremely blurry. I tried using
the blur feature built into vanilla Create.swf for imported images, but
that didn't appear to have any effect whatsoever.

Most of the image filters are only applicable to regular static images and cannot be applied in real-time to non-image graphics. Using blur from the effects menu can work, you will want to reduce both strength and quality for more subtle blurring.

Huh, it's working just fine now. I don't know what I was doing wrong earlier. Sorry about that.

You import them just like a normal image(it will only work in create.swf extended though), the third paragraph of the description tells you how to set up the arm's source position(target).

>added curve control point editing
Excellent, the one thing this was lacking.
Now I can put the hand anywhere I want without worrying about
if the arm will properly line up with the sleeve.

Hey hey, nice. Now we can get longer arms than usual!
Great work as always, RSG. Keep it up!
