Oh, and for fav.me/d31aop5 too, but it's not as nice because I was a lot more fractal-stupid when I made it.

Thanks for this fantastic tutorial! I was very frustrated with apo (only recently started using it), but now I'm having fun tweaking my splits.
One thing, I was having problems with transforms 3 and 4, even after reading the explanation of the 1:3 ratio.
Then I set the cylinder variation to 0.075 (the tutorial says 0.25-0.75), and suddenly all was well. Just wondering whether it is a typo, or if I did something so weird elsewhere that putting the wrong value worked (or I am totally confused).

this value depends of the size of your Xform.
The more your Xform is big the less it need to be set
With a 0:1y 0:0.3x I'm using 0.5 most of the time

Well, it says "start with a new, blank flame" so I did. After following the directions, that's what I end up with.... a blank flame. What am I missing??? Thanks for the tut. I'm just a bit behind the game with Apoph. Love your work.

This happen a lot

So after a lot of frustration (due to my inability to read.. XD) I finally got some results that I can work with (found here ). I do have a pretty significant question, though. if you look at my fractal that I made, it doesn't have any of those bars that you say to put in with the cylinder/pre_blur combo, and to resize them on the Triangle tab using post-transform and setting it to a 1:3 ratio. What exactly do you mean by that? It's not clear to me... ;_;

SaTaNiA In reply to Esherymack [2013-01-17 16:55:23 +0000 UTC]
So you simply activate the post transform (in the toolbar of the editor box) and in the triangle tab of the editor set : Y = 1 X= 0.33 that's all

I know I've made a couple based on this, but I think I finally managed to get the technique to come out clean. (My last several attempts I could never get it to work properly.) Thanks for this!
