HI!
THAAAAAAAANK YOU for such a great tutorial.
:ahem:
I made this thanks to you:[link]
And just one little question: Do you scale or do you zoom? (in your own works I mean)

SaTaNiA In reply to AlvarV [2011-05-09 09:55:17 +0000 UTC]
You're welcome
I'm really glad you have enjoyed it
on my artwork i'm used to use scale with a high quality preview (cause zoom really need more time when u render !)
but if my piece need a really high scale I used zoom

Thanks for the answer.
I Guess Iยดll stick to scale then.

Great tutorial. The only thing I had a problem with was on the final xform. /when I set Bipolar to 2, it was really small, so I had to set it to 12 and that did it. I can't figure out why I had to do that. I doesn't seem like anyone else has had that problem, but thanks for the tutorials. They really help!

Did you check the zoom?
Maybe your zoom was under 15-20 so you've a lil shape that happen some time

jim88bro In reply to SaTaNiA [2011-04-18 22:48:41 +0000 UTC]
No it turned out to be in the FXformipolar. It said set Bipolar to 2. I had to set that to 12 and when I did, it was perfect! Thanks for your wonderful tutorials. I appreciate all the help they have given me and others. Have a great week!

I made a fractal and rendered it, but for some reason the only way that I can see it is by finding it through Apophysis, and I can't open it in Fireworks because there is a little lock next to the .png file. Any advice?
๐: 0 โฉ: 2
SaTaNiA In reply to aetherfang [2011-03-28 11:46:44 +0000 UTC]
render it as a .jpg.
But if you open it with photoshop or so you can still double click on it or duplicate it

Did you use the same gradient throughout the tutorial?
If so, which one was it?
๐: 0 โฉ: 1
SaTaNiA In reply to SparksMcGhee [2011-03-07 15:50:27 +0000 UTC]
Don't remember but every gradient work great on this kind of shape.
I often use dark gradient and oversatured it

Thanks for the tip, I am having issues getting enough color.

SaTaNiA In reply to SparksMcGhee [2011-03-07 21:17:46 +0000 UTC]
try to randomise the colors first, it can help.
For my own, I'm used to have the same color setting on Xform 3-4 (cylinder-pre_blur) and "randomise" the two others variations

It's ok.
I figured it out now.
I forgot to do post transforms and it all screwed up.
Thanks

@SaTaNiA
Here is the latest image that I created.---> [link]
It is based on another image that I had submitted, which I was unhappy with.
---> [link]
I used parts from three different fractal images that I made. The most obvious, is the one from your splits/elliptic tutorial. The rest of the image I did in Photoshop.
I have 5 different versions of this image, and it's a work in progress,
so it's possible that I may submit a revised version sometime.
Software used: Apo 7.14 and PSCS4.

Thank you both, i learned how to do an elliptic splits fractals. I have like 3 deviations with this method, but i enjoyed this one in particular and it doesnt seem like has been done with the same method, its called "Bifurcacion Metalica" [link] , i did some experiments with polar, ... i hope you like it!! Thanks Fiery and Satania...!!
