Hmm I tried this with a flat terrain and jsut water and I followed the tutorial exactly and all I got was an extremely bright sky and almost everything is white. This is a good tutorial though, I am gonna keep working on it. If you know how this can be fixed that would be great.

VERY good tutorial
i'd like to benefit from this chance to ask you: can you make multiple layers of clouds using terragen? the button is always disabled!

Unfortunately not. The button is there, cause it was planned for a future version, but now it seems that TG2 is out more early

Thank for disponibilizar the tuturial. Some people can criticize it, but they forget that one day they tambem had needed one, therefore in the truth, ninguem was born knowing. Sao attitudes as its that make with that the art either an attitude human being, independende of as it is made. She can yourself be used the pen or the computer, but the human feeling estara present and sera possivel always always feeling. Nice to meet you friend.
Excuse language, therefore I translated my words in babelfish translating, therefore nao I say English - alive in the Brazil, and here Portuguese spoke, ok.

I've only really tried out Terrogen once, and I couldn't figure out how to do all these sweet effects that I've seen everyone else do! All I can do are these really blocky-looking landscapes

Wow you did really good on your picture!! What you can do if it doesn't come out all that bright is go into Photoshop and go to > image > Adjustments > Check out all 3 AUTO SETTINGS ( I always do it and then undo and I do all three to see what looks good) or in adjustments > Variations > and see what that does for you!!
THanks for the comment on my main page I really appreciate it!!
Blessings Jeff

I have a little problem with your tutorial...could you help me?
π: 0 β©: 1
Savedbygrace In reply to Darklands [2005-03-30 07:19:42 +0000 UTC]
sure whats up? If you follow it exactly it should work other than you will have to move the sun up or down or to different postions But let me know what you need
π: 0 β©: 1
Darklands In reply to Savedbygrace [2005-03-30 07:53:32 +0000 UTC]
That's what my problem is: I move sun, but nothing happens...later on today, I'll be practicing a bit more...
Thank you anyway...

... hmmm, it's not working... all I get is a blaring white sky, whatever I do...
π: 0 β©: 1
Savedbygrace In reply to Tyranic-Moron [2005-03-08 23:16:40 +0000 UTC]
If you follow it exactly you should have sunrays! I have done it over and over again with the tutorial and everytime it works, the only thing I have to figure out myself is where to move the sun and have it come through the clouds to cause the rays!

I can't thank you enough. I've tried countless times to get light rays to work and never could figure them out. This has definately rekindled my love for terragen at a time when I need new motivation towards my art.

I'm sorry... it isn't working for me. The sky is just white and glaring The sun is definately too powerful. Why isn't it working?
π: 0 β©: 1
Savedbygrace In reply to zebravissimo [2005-02-01 01:15:45 +0000 UTC]
Try to position the Sun behind clouds and make sure the sky and Altitude are both 10000. It should work! I usually have to mess with the clouds and or move the sun around!
