Idea is mine, though based on the Tournament of Mortals.It must be nice to have super powers. Being able to move faster then light, or strong enough to lift mountains... if only you didn't have to deal with all those pesky villains.
Superman: The Man of Steel. The Last Son of Krypton. No matter what you want to call him, Clark Kent aka Superman is one of DC Earth's mightiest heroes. And yet, for all his amazing power, he chooses to act selflessly for the good of the many.
Shadow: What was created in an attempt to surpass Sonic would in many ways meet that goal. Shadow is fast, strong, and able to manipulate the power of Chaos to astonishing effect. And yet he is tormented by the past, forever seeking purpose.
Now these two Super-Beings are gonna get in the cage with each other, and duke it out like there's no tomorrow (of course, for one of them that might be true)! Can Superman beat a being that can teleport him across space with the snap of his fingers? Can Shadow hope to vanquish a foe that can fling mountains like they were paper cups? Who know? Either way, only one can become--
THE DEADLIEST MORTAL!
Finally, in a classic 'To the Victor Goes the Spoils', after you pick a winner, pick something for them to take from the loser. It may be something as simple as a piece of equipment, to something as complex as a power. I'm just curious what you all would say.
*I apologize if Shadow's intro is a little vague. I've never really played a whole lot of Sonic games, so I don't know all of his backstory and motivations.

supe's mind can procces at speeds faster than flash, he's able to grab a circling flash at top speed, shadow's speed will be rendered useless, and supe's has taken things far worse than anything shadow can dish out, add FAR superior strength and planet destroying heat vision and supes will be scraping off what ever is left of shadow off his boots, and also, it made complete sense why certain people won in death battle, the only one I think is wrong is the TMNT one, cuz raph has beaten leo more than it is the other way around, and his sais are used to destroy swords, but the fact of the matter is that this is a stomp for supes, I can't see how it could possibly be the other way around

shadow is WAY outmatched in strength and stamina, superman destroyed an entire galaxy just by sneezing, so shadow's gravity field feat thing doesn't really mean much when compared to supe's power, superman has survived a lot of things that people said could kill anyone, i think the least of his worries is being touched by an emo rodent, supe's can also bend time and space, supe can just infinite mass punch shadow once and it's all over, superman can just stay in the sun for a little bit and then kill shadow with a finger flick

dude, shadow can't take an infinite mass punch, if superman really needs to (which he won't) he could just fly to a blue sun/star and become immensely more powerful than he was before and shadow. shadow's super form isn't even enough, superman has beaten people far more deadly than solaris, shadow's speed is useless in this fight since supe's mind processes at speeds far faster than flash, he'd just grab shadow out of mid-air and punch him once or twice and now shadow's head is just mush, shadow is 100% SCREWED in strength and stamina, even his super form has a time limit, and it wouldn't even be enough to give him the win even if it wasn't superman wins hands down, no character from a kid's game is gonna beat superman

depending on the situation, using chaos control to the fullest takes time and is in impractical during combat, plus taking superman out of reality has been tried and it didn't work, superman can patch holes in reality with his static electricity a lone, superman destroyed an entire galaxy by SNEEZING, i don't care what level of durability shadow is, if superman can destroy a galaxy larger than ours by sneezing, there is no telling what he can do if he actually lets loose and shows his true potential, superman has been sandwiched by two planets moving at the speed of asteroids and he's survived a blow equivalent to 15 suns blowing up in his face, getting touched by super shadow won't do crap

first of all they destroyed a zone, not a universe or dimension, second of all, part of the energy that destroyed the zone was coming from knuckles, super sonic or super shadow or knuckles could not have done that a lone, third of all, you say super shadow and super sonic are equal, which is true, but you also said that super shadow has "death inducing invincibility" well since super sonic and super shadow are equal, then knuckles should have died when he kicked sonic in the face, explain that, plus one time knuckles punched super sonic so hard he returned to base form, considering superman is many times stronger than knuckles, he wouldn't only knock shadow back to base form, he could probably kill him or at least KO him with an IMP, plus there has been many other instances where super sonic and shadow made contact with other characters, and those characters lived, plus without a steady supply of power rings, shadow's form can't even last a minute
