Description
Mass - 100 TonsMax Speed - 56kph
Armament - 1 x Large pulse laser, 2 x Streak SRM 6, 4 x Flamethrowers, 2 x Anti-missle systems.
Carrying capacity - Up to 15 Battle armoured Troops or 5 Heavy or Assault suits and 5 Medium or Light suits.
The Ganesha was developed out of the requirement and need to transport Elementals, and whilst the Svantovit was an adequate APC its fragility made it unsuitable for front line deployment outside of small-scale battles and skirmishes and the horribly cramped interior made it unable to support Elementals in the field. Newer designs like the Yama IFV and Polemos APC were more capable and survivable but each was still only a troop carrier and was unable to survive in built up terrain. Fighting on Tokasha and the Niles factory complex had shaped the Hells Horses and they wanted a vehicle that could fight and survive in built up areas whilst being able to traverse the worst terrain.

It's like a Baneblade designed to actually be a viable vehicle, with a generous handful of Merkava thrown in... I like it!

Plog nailed it This is actually based on a design for a British tank destroyer that was looked at but never completed - i.ytimg.com/vi/XBu_-elS_WE/max… is what it was kind of based on. I'm really glad you like it

Ohhhh, the AT-15. (World of Tanks player here!) I can see the resemblance now, it just never would have occurred to me since it's not centered around a BFG.

To be fair, the AT-15 in World of Tanks isn't centered around a BFG, either.

I was just thinking about how underpowered a 20 pounder was on a Tier VIII tank destroyer. Adequate in the 5% or so of games where you're top tier, and pathetically underpowered in the 80% of games when you're facing Tier X machines.

Also the Ganesha will later evolve (at least in this version of the timeline) into -
The Aithion assault transport, big enough gun for ya?
