Description

Designed by Clan Burrock to replace their aging ex-SLDF stocks the Hyperion was in turn based upon a prototype design that never saw production called the Titan. Massing 100 tons and moving as fast as the Atlas' it was replacing, the Hyperion was designed to be easy and cheap to produce. This resulted in a roomy, rugged Mech, trading the flexibility of the OmniPod system for ease of maintenance and far lower unit costs. Heavily armed and armoured, the Mech would serve as an anvil for Burrock formations. Its success would see a slow spread of the Mech throughout the Homeworlds, although the Burrocks hated rivals, Clan Blood Spirit would choose to copy the Mech and produce their own, with their own preferred weapon choices and some visual changes to make the mech slightly more distinct from its progenitor.
