Sarah Jane Smith: Final Report page 10. By Paul Hanley (story, colour and lettering) with pencils and inks by me.
Paul Says:Sorry for the delay, folks. Shawn's had this page drawn for weeks, but "real work" has been keeping me from coloring and lettering it. Anyway, here it is.
If you're enjoying this comic, and feel like giving us a "tip", may I suggest giving to your local cancer charities. US readers may want to donate to this one: [link]

I love that you directly quoted Clive Swift from that nasty interview he gave to Doctor Who Magazine!

They hang out I'm told. Unless he's the guy from Mad Dogs.

Hey, A Charitable Earth! AND the Pharos Institute. Children in Need, of course. Every patriotic Brit is pretty much obligated to donate to them at some point, it seems. And Doctors Without Borders. I've heard of that one. It's a favorite charity of several Stargate actors.
Sarah Jane's aunt was a millionaire? Wow.

I kinda had the same reaction to finding out John Avery Whitaker's a millionaire (Adventures in Odyssey).

I recognize the old guy at the end, who is he again?

Mr. Copper (Clive Swift) from Voyage of the Damned. He stayed on Earth at the end of that episode with a massively jacked up credit line.

The Mr Copper Foundation was credited by the former PM of developing the subwave (?) network which allowed Harriet Jones to jointly speak to Torchwood, Sarah Jane and Martha Jones (and not Rose.)

I've been enjoying this immensely. All the little in-references you've been working in is the kind of thing I wanted to do when I was working on the audioplay I wrote for our wedding invites. (See: Stolen Hearts on giantgnome.com.) But I love what you're doing here. I loved especially that you managed to tie in the Marvel Comics universe and Sherlock. This has been a wonderful geekfest of happy feels so far, and I encourage you to continue with such things. -WR

Thank you. That's mainly Paul on the in references. He has a mind for this type of work like few I've ever encountered.

Not so much -but there's a good deal more obscurity than that happening on this page.

Indeed, I can see Spaced's "Fantasy Bazaar", I can't actually read the other shop sign so can't guess where it's from, plus more than a few of the assorted charities look familiar!

Paul says:The other shops are Hamway's Hardware (from the Martin Freeman sitcom HARDWARE, which once guest-starred Peter Davison as himself) and Fantasy Bazaar, Tim Bisley's place of work in the brilliant series SPACED. Strangely enough, Bill Bailey ran Fantasy Bazaar- I wonder if he knows he has a long-lost twin brother working next door at Black books???
