yeah, I just saw the page with Iris, Sherlock, Kolchack, Raymond Burr from Godzilla and George. Very, very amusing and a little bit brilliant.

Sans Donna. If figured the Doctor when and took her out of the bas relief so it wouldn't inadvertently fry her brain.

This keeps getting better and better. I'm now caught up in the story, and can't wait to see where it goes next! I also adored all the references from the different eras of Doctor Who that you put in the newspaper clippings in the background! Although, I must say, I'm looking forward to future pages with hope of getting Sarah Jane as herself, not as just the girl being talked about.

Well whether or not we get to meet Sarah Jane is gonna depend on how good an investigator Van Zandt is. But don't worry, some interesting face-to-face encounters are right around the corner...

Well First of I can't but help to notice in the first Panel but "BUGLE" "FRONTLINE" "J.J." makes me think of Spider-Man and the Marvel Universe in general. after all at one point Marvel was in control of Doctor Who Comics. But its probably coincidence. Please say it is what I am thinking it is.

It's absolutely intentional. Van Zandt's "old buddy" is none other than former Daily bugle star reporter Ben Urich. [link]
As far as Im concerned, the comics' version of the Whoniverse IS the Marvel Universe. And I'll point to this for anyone who wants to debate it: [link]

We have now lost two compations in two months first Caroline John, Liz saw and now Mary Tamm, Romana one. Considering your making this comic at the moment could it be possible for you guys to at least mention them?

I do actually have something in mind (and not just Liz's pic turning up on this page). Don't want to say what yet, though.

Just a bit, that's like writing half a dozen stories in one.
And you're giving us some fantastic art, too; all those likenesses must take it out of you. Thanks for doing these projects, I know you're busy

Yeah, I've been crazy busy the last few months. Doesn't show any sign of slowing down either. Likenesses are so hit and miss with art. Very interpretive. Ben was interesting because in going over my old Daredevils I found nobody drew him the same. Sometimes changing from panel to panel. I just tried to make him 'real'.

Cool- glad folks recognize Ben Urich without me having to actually come out and directly say it. Shawn told me he based his version on a composite of Miller's and Mazzucchelli's versions- and I think it turned out pretty great. Too bad Ben's Marvel Team-Up with Sarah didn't go so well.

It's a great version of Ben. That, along with the MI-13 and JJ reference made it pretty clear who it was
I'd have loved to see the story of Ben and Sarah God only knows what that was like

Ohmygod, this is so awesome--you really captured her and everybody else's likenesses at different times in all the newspaper clippings. And it looks like you included one of the BBV stories?!! DAMN!
Also: Apollo's Coffee. That is all. (dies laughing)

Apollo's Coffee is something I slipped in during the coloring process. I like to use the same phony brands and corporations in eveerything I do (kinda like Quentin Tarantino's use of Red Apple Cigarettes). Apollo's also popped up here [link] and it'll be coming up in a big way in a comic I'm doing down the road.
And yes, that was a big nod to P.R.O.B.E.. I'm so proud of the fans that they can spot that even with the article half-covered.
