Description
Been a while, huh? Most of my creative focus has either been stunted by apathy or ideas that were just too big. Also, I've been ramping up for a DnD campaign at home, which is also going nowhere thanks to writers block.Last night, I watched some clips celebrating old horror movies leading up to Halloween and was enthralled by one of the Jekyll and Hyde movies. From that, I really wanted to explore the idea of Shay suffering from a similar symptom, clichΓ© as it is. Since I didn't have any real origin story in mind, I just skipped it. His more "outgoing" alter ego doesn't even have a proper name! Shrugging it off and going "well, I haven't been to DA in ages, I should do SOME-thing at least..." I proceeded to work on this.
I'm a bit out of practice, I don't think I scanned it in at a high enough resolution (my linework still's sloppy) but overall I like it, and I'm glad to have another form of Shay sporting something other than his usual flavor of "pasty white."

Reminds me of the Dr Jekyll and Ms. Hyde movie, starring Tim Daly (of Wings fame) and Sean Young (Ace ventura) as his female alter ego, Helen Hyde.
Tim Daly is Dr Richard Jacks, the great-grandson of the legendary Dr. Henry Jekyll, the one from the "Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr. Hyde" book by Robert Louis Stevenson. Dr. jacks creates a formula from his great-grandfather's notes and turns into a woman, who calls herself Helen Hyde.

I think I saw that one :3 I love using "split personality" themed TG's, where the character sometimes loses control and acts according to their new body unwillingly XD My character in FFXIV is like that, though I haven't found a good RP guild though yet

maybe not, now its liek a funny (and nasty :3) comic idea,...but to go to far, it only looks liek a (often tasteless) erocomic book, so better let the fantasize of the readers end up the story ....

no, it shouldnt be against tasteless erocomics, ...but "not that i red one" often mangas have some strange, but really funny ideas , even in hentai they sometimes succed to be erotic and funny in the same time(really for me ia wonder how to get these ideas...)....

Well, a lot of them just take ideas and give them a minor twist: it can create a totally different effect :3 I'm not a good writer or anything, but for my roleplaying, I find it easy and fairly effective to just use a basic plot idea with a twist. That way, I know it will work (since classic themes have been around for ages) and that it is unique enough to not feel stale :3 Take the princess and the frog: a classic story with a minor twist that was enough to make it feel fresh.

hope you plan out your campaign soon, when i run them i usually start with a base line, with a little random, a lot of make up on the spot, and a lot of response to what the players choose to do. There are places they will end up, but how they get there and what then encounter on the way is up to them, and me if im having a bad day.

I'm kind of designing it like a flow chart, where different decisions will have inevitable conclusions, and go to the next scenario from there. Like, if the party infiltrates a building to steal an artifact, buy it outright, or quest for it on the behest of its owner, it will lead to a different track than if they had taken more violent options. That way, its open to how they accomplish something, but the overall conclusions are limited to something I can work with, predict, and write around.

interesting. You defiantly have to DM for your players whatever your end up doing. Personally I find being loose and flexible works best with the cast of characters i play with. In my mind there is a serious of events that build the stories, and they usually are pretty specific, but when things go awry, i just move the event to where it makes sense most, and the new surroundings and situations dictate the subtleties of the situations. For example my friends had me dm a mini game up at a beach house where we had no books, so we just threw something very laxed together and i wanted to see them agains a vampire, so the first time a paladin detected evil in the church where they were to eventually meet, i had it happen. it was an evil church, and there were clerics and paladins everywhere, and one druid because i though it would be funny to have one there.

lol, that's pretty cool :3 For my group, I'm making a sort of happy medium where its easy enough for me to run, simple enough in goals that my group isn't overwhelmed (since they prefer more linear stories) but has enough forks that their decisions have a significant impact on how the story progresses.
