Description
I've been meaning to put this together for the past few months, and so I whipped it up tonight since I'm finally out of school and with significantly less responsibilities... Well, at least for the time being.-C

Another way to do it is to c/p your lineart and set your brush mode to lighten just using a darker of the colours around it.

I noticed the coloured lineart in the original image actually, I just thought then that you were some super-person that could use different colours from the beginning, I'm glad you explained otherwise
Thank you, this is really useful!

Eep, sorry, you probably knew that already. I see now that this is just your own preferred method.

You can also just click on the little lock transparency button for your lineart layer, then colour all over your lineart as you will! Seems easier to me.. D:

Except if you're using scanned lineart, which isn't transparent- this is about getting it to that stage. You can "apply" the mask and just lock transparency- it's a matter of preference, really, and I think I've done both.

This tutorial sort of assumes that your lineart is separate, yes, though you can always merge them after the fact.

Can you link me to an example? My tutorial is assuming that you have lineart, uncoloured, that you're scanning in.
