Hello everyone!
I've been hard at work on Sacred vol.2 and while answering my cousins questions about screen tone i thought "WOW!! i'd love to do a tutorial on that!!" so here it is! :3
this is a little over view of the BASICS of using tone / adhesive tone/ comic tone/ manga tone etc. (it goes by a TON of names XD ) like it states in the tutorial, some things might seem like common sense BUT you'd be surprised how long it takes for one to learn these lessons LOL trial and error, messing up, and finding tone scraps on your pets are JUST a few of the issues! ROFL

oh! you can actually find tone in a number of art supply and arts and craft stores! the easiest brand for me to find is Letraset tone. here's the site is usually buy from!-->[link] it's a Japanese brand called Deleter :3 you can also find it at a site called Akadot-->[link] i hope this helps you sweety!

i know what you mean! i buy mine straight from Japan! XD i can find them in the USA but the sheets are actually smaller than the brands in Japan o _ o Deleter is a wonderful brand and is my favorite brand too! [link] i hope this helps!

fantastic tutorial, traditional screentoning is something i want to get into with my work, but it's so hard to find, and when i DO find it, it's a million dollars. i've just been drawing the lines myself, which makes me want to die. this is awesome though, i'm going to look to this if i ever find a place where screentone is a good price. any suggestions?

it is! i've been working so hard since i was 17 years old to get this story published ; U ; and with lots of patience, prayer and the loving support of those around me i was able to do it!

not, i haven't done anything, i just payed lots of money xDD but it really helps me, i'm satisfied :3 i don't know in other schools, but in the yoyogi animation gakuin surely no one does exams... because there are some really bad drawers there (i feel kinda sorry about saying that... but it's true =^= )
i was scare about pressing too much and i ended up not pressing at all, at first. then i cutted the draw several times and managed to dig an hole in paper from trying too hard to shade XD

sadly just exercising drawers can improve =v= i know what you mean XD not sooo bad artists but... worse than me... and i never thinked to be that good XDD i don't know... maybe their passion will help them develop some better skills, who knows ^^
