I felt so sorry for Orchid, she'd had no sleep, even before dawn we were rushing about, preparing to evacuate, and as the sun rose we waited in the freezing cold, huddled together in relative silence, she didn't know what was happening, and I couldn't tell her that I wasn't going with her, not until the Transports were ready, I felt cruel, but I knew she'd make it difficult otherwise... When the first Transport, Quantum Storm, was ready, I bid her farewell, I was expecting her to cause quite the fuss, but she just stood there quietly sobbing, she was wracked with anxiety and fatigue... I fixed her scarf, held her hands, and bid her farewell as Saki ushered her away, watching her go though... I couldn't help but feel that something terrible was going to happen... Like... Maybe I wouldn't see her again, I couldn't imagine what she'd do without me, or likewise, what I'd do if I lost her...And then... I swear I heard something... I thought I was just imagining it at the time, Isabelle wishing me well... To this day I still don't know for sure... But I like to think so, at least... Quinn Shara's memoirs, Rebel Alliance years, recalling the hours prior to the Battle of Hoth...

More Star Wars OC AU! Comic! This is hours prior to the Battle of Hoth, at dawn the brave soldiers of the Rebellion prepare to hold off the might of Death Squadron and Blizzard Force, as Quinn prepares for the grueling battle ahead she bids her adopted daughter farewell, anxious that it may be for the last time, meanwhile Isabelle too prepares, she quietly wishes Quinn well, as he hopes to make amends after the battle, but will she ever get the chance...?
This was fun, but kinda' sad, I need to stop getting so emotional, but eh, then I feel like I wouldn't be involved enough!
Eheheh, I wish my style was consistent panel to panel, ugh...
Still, I always enjoy drawing Quinn and co. and it was nice to be able to draw more of Saki (the Togruta woman) and Zomori (the Zabrak with the beard), as I want to expand more on my supporting cast. I also really enjoy drawing spaceships, like the GR-75s in the background, I have all the X-Wing Miniatures Game models (so far 
), and I've got to say, when it comes to references they're invaluable! 
Though funnily enough, T-47 Speeder is probably the only Rebel ship I don't have a model reference for... XD Eheh, I hope my handwriting is readable here...

Well it wasn’t a warzone until the Empire invaded, Hoth was a secret base until the Empire’s probe droids found it, for those hunted by the Empire such a place was the safest place in the Galaxy.
