I'm not dead! I have real art that will be uploaded eventually, but in the meantime have a meme.

Influences:

1) Fullmetal Alchemist - I chose the manga specifically here because the art is probably the best I've ever seen in a manga. Absolutely fantastic illustration, excellent story.
2) Legend of Zelda: Windwaker - Zelda is always a visual feast, but I really did love Windwaker's unique style.
3) Ursula Vernon - The one who taught me that you can draw crazy, cute, and very weird things and still be successful.
4) Avatar the Last Airbender - Probably the most epic cartoon in existence. It's awesome. If you haven't seen it, do.
5) Steampunk - Because the only thing better than fake history is fake history with goggles and ray guns. And gears. Lots of gears.
6) Shaun Tan - Gorgeous illustrations and a master of the surreal.
7) Sandman - Not only introduced me to Neil Gaiman, but made me realize that comics didn't have to be about superheroes.
8) Shirotsuki - I met her as Whyrl, back in our old MND days. Her fanart was so awesome they actually let her do an official card. Speaking of which...
9) Magi-Nation - The best CCG ever created. This is what made me want to do digital art. Seriously. Look at that awesome.
10) Kino's Journey - An excellent, if short, anime with a very philosophical bent. Also talking motorcycles.
11) Spirited Away - All Ghibli movies are good, but this one is my favorite. Mind-blowing visuals and amazing music.
12) Japan - Ancient and beautiful architecture, epic history, unique art, and a culture that is often crazy and completely incomprehensible. Sometimes I hate it, but mostly I love it.
