Although the Grey Wolf still faces some threats, its relatively widespread range and stable population trend mean that the species does not meet, or nearly meet, any of the criteria for the threatened categories. Therefore, it is assessed as Least Concern.
The IUCN Red List lists grey wolves as Least Concern.
And do you know how many vulnerable, endangered, and critical amphibians there are?

The Mexican Gray Wolf is just a subspecies of Gray Wolves, isn't it? And according to the IUCN Red List Gray Wolves as a whole are not endangered.

you got the point. though some wolf species are endangered, and for example here in Finland wolves are endangered (and it causes that moose, which otherwise would be hunted by wolves, have overpopulated our forests and cause so many traffic accidents every year that moose is the most dangerous animal in Finland. And that's only 'cause wolves were hunted close to dying out (in Finland!) People here really have to hunt lots of moose every damn year to curb their population, since our small wolf population can't do that. But he situation here is dividual.)
But in general wolves are not endangered, nor the animal people should be very worried about. there's a zillion other species (not just animals! plants etc too) that really are endangered. like our Saimaa ringed seals, or sumatran tigers

Well, mine has changed, or at least it's gotten more complicated over the years. Of course I'd generally be against idea of my own species, family, and friends being hunted due to possible overpopulation, who do you think I am, an idiot? I'd also like to add that I've always loved animals and hated the idea of them being killed unless it's absolutely necessary. Feel free to call me out on my hypocrisy, but if your here for an argument, I'm afraid you've come to the wrong place. I could go deeper into my reasoning and points right now, but to be bluntly honest I'm too lazy and I just don't feel like it.
