What happened 30 years later

A collaboration between me and featuring her Prothean OC Divena

And Vahana, little Vahana, yes.

And Teishen and Nyu by . XD

Helavis told me that Divena was a traitor to the Prothean Empire who later became a Collector.

So I wrote up the script and had Helavis draw the comic. It was a very fun thing to write about.

------------------------

Backstory (by me)

Background Story about Divena's relationship with the Flaruniss Realm

Divena was a very ambitious and power hungry. Her homerealm wasn't Flaruniss, but came from an ancient nobles family who had always been servants to the royal family.

She moved to Flaruniss Realm, and somehow she got in contact with Suridim, Emperor Graileann's second son, and charmed him. After the Emperor was killed by his second son, Suridim, she was appointed as one of the governors, and gained the highest status that her family could ever achieve.

When Suridim left Flaruniss, Divena joined him and assembled the Seperatists to wage the Prothean Civil War, she eventually betrayed the Empire.

Divena's relationship with Vahana

Vahana's mother died from giving birth to her, so she grew up seeing Parvani (her oldest sister), and Teishen as two mother-figures. She holds no hatred against Divena, but Divena sees the child as something that gives her the creepiest creeps.

Divena was also aware of Vahana's strong powers and was kind of despised/afraid of the little princess' potential in gaining political power in the future. Meanwhile the Emperor had virtually sent Vahana away from the Palace to Exion where she could live freely with Teishen on Vessala. So at that moment, the little princess doesn't seem to pose much threat.

Still, when Divena sees Vahana, even though she would act in a very sweetly manner, she'd spit at the little princess' back. She supported Emperor Graileann's descision in sending Vahana away to Lyndel to become an Archknight, because it in turns would strip away Vahana's royal status. But she didn't expect Vahana would return to the Realm carrying the Imperial Echo Shard as a proof of her validity of becoming the next Empress.

Actual Comic Story

Vahana was somewhere in quievalent to a 5-year-old in human age at the time (she thinks like a 5-year-old too, somehow the Protheans mature slowly in my headcanon).

Divena was talking with Suridim from a shaded room about Vahana became more powerful day after day, and that Emperor Graileann was going to send Vahana off to Lyndel Empyrean to become an Archknight. Suridim said it was too cruel for a child to be away for so young, but Divena told him that he would at least loose one competetor to the throne.

On Vessala, Teishen was with Vahana and Nyu in the forest, when Vahana suddenly started to become very sad but couldn't cry (protheans don't shed tears). Teishen asked what happened, Vahana didn't answer, but instead asked Teishen what it was like to be far away from her home and family.

Teishen simply said to the little princess: "You'll make new friends and meet new people, and they become your new family."

A few days later, a black spaceship came and ordered Vahana to get abroad to the Lyndel Empyrean. It was until then Teishen understood what Vahana meant, and when she saw Divena appeared to pick Vahana up, she was agitated by Divena's presence, but she couldn't stop Divena from taking Vahana away.

On the starship, Divena saw Vahana changed into a black robe, and told the young girl that she was no longer a princess anymore. Vahana didn't cry or get angry at Divena, she just said "she knew".

Divena didn't know what to answer because Vahana was too calm, she didn't feel comfortable with the child, and left the room with a hiss.

After Divena left, Vahana took out her Echo Shard she hid under her dress, and held it tightly....

Vahana may be young but she still tried to understand what was happening to her.
Don't worry, life would be cool on Parhelia Omni, we all have knew that.

Cutthroat politics. Damn.

On the bright side if this hadn't happened we probably wouldn't have Javik... that would be bad right?

The end can never justify the means... well, at least we can brace ourselves and try to make amend the bad so we can carry on with the good.

I feel that the Empress Vahana is going to be kicking some ass soon.

Well if we were to carry on with the story from this comic strip, she would spend some very good time growing up in Parhelia Omni, visiting Feros and in awe with the clouds ([link] ); losing her beloved Knightmaster Ojo, became Archknight, and got totally persued by Alancier ([link] ); and the two would be kicking ass in the Second Dominance War ([link] ). And then we'll have her taking over the throne, sad part again ([link] )

And then she managed to rescue Javik and tamed him, after that, there comes the Prothean Reaper War comic, yeay.

And that's where Vahana tamed the Troll. XD

I see so many artists' OCs. I'm very happy about that! You're so open when everyone's character.

Are they going to be re-occurring characters?

There are always a lot of stories for each individuals. Remember I'm telling stories about people who lives in the war. So even if Vahana is the protagonist, I'll still be talking about other people's lives as well.

It's more like a chronicle actually.

Amazing! Do you take only artist who can draw their OCs? Or do you choose by the details?

Basically I value people who take consideration in building their character and ovbiously had payed some level of effort in making things up and makes sense in character building.

I have people PMing me wanting me to put their OCs in the comic, but I can't put a prothean who is a genius in mechs and happen to be an admiral and a royalty and is extremely charming and smart and all-perfect into the story. I suppose you should understand my point by now....

Yeah, I would hate to add Mary/Gary Sues into the comic. It doesn't make it all the exciting.

Plus, fans HATE THEM. I understand.
