Description
Quasar Fortress, commonly referred by the Archknights as "Lyndel", because it resided in Lyndel Empyrean, was the Headquarter of the Archknight Order. The basic infrastructure of the Fortress was built by an unknown race which existed presumably several Cycles ago. Some time during the later period of the Metacon War, the Imperial Alliance forces discovered the abandoned ruin floating in space.
Although abandoned and very ancient, the Quasar Fortress possessed a virtually perpetual power source much like the Mass Relays. Although its true function was unknown to the Protheans and the Oravores who had discovered the space station, somehow it was decided that the Archknight Order should take the right to control and maintain it.
Later during the Prothean history, there were speculations of the Quasar Fortress being the facility which had fired the accelerated particle round that damaged the Derelict Reaper. This speculation was never confirmed and related researches had long lost into the tides of history.
The Quasar Fortress was generally divided into 3 wings, based on its original infrastructure.
The Crimson Tower, located at the "top" wing of the Fortress (seen from the Top View of the illustration), was where the Chivalry Council resided. It was served as the center of Archknight administration. All Bestowment and Recognition Ceremonies were held here.
The Sky Tower, located at the "left" wing of the Fortress, was where the Novices received their training. Apprentices who had yet to be served under an Archknight would also dwell in the left wing.
The Star Tower, located at the "right" wing of the Fortress, was known as the common area opened for all Archknights and Apprentices who had gotten permission. It held a docking bay as well as the recipient hall for new comers.

Um, hm.
I tried to make the design drawing tighter by using SAI.

It is very similar in shape to the Citadel. Would love to see what the middle city looks like.

The middle? There's a huge energy core and crystalline stuffs at the middle. Not fit for dwelling, obviously.

I never played Starcraft 1 or 2, nor have I watched any footage. I suck at RTS games, so I never bothered.

I meant no disrespect, I was only pointing out that it look familiar and I like the art work. The fact that you created this with out any influence makes it even better. I have always enjoyed your art and style. I am sorry if I upset you.

It's okay, I just kinda had it enough with some making similar comments whenever I post stuffs up, which I had brainstormed for weeks before they're been done with.
So far nobody could pinpoint exactly what or where have I actually got my inspirations from. And I assure you, none of my inspirations came from existing games/animes/mangas. I take my inspirations mainly from deep sea creatures and plants.
I'm not really directing my annoyance to you, but I'd apologize of taking it personal.

The only thing I see that I say influences your art is Tolkien. The way he describes the land of the Elves. For some reason when I look at your work I see a lot of graceful curves with both soft and bold lines. In my mind that how I see the world that he crafted for a race of eternal people. Silk, marble and steel/iron. I have no idea if you get what I'm trying to say. All I really want to say is I really enjoy your work and can't wait to see more.

I guess you're right on that bit. I've been such a Tolkien fan since childhood, so the influence would be more like an internalized effect on how I do art, particularly the flow of lines and the elven stuffs and all those stuff. XD
Sometimes I get frustrated in not able to draw things that are "colder" and synthetic... there's always this nature feel into stuffs that I draw...

Well you can always look at it this way, the reason you have issues drawing cold/synthetic is that that's not a part of your personality. I had an old friend say that you can't draw what's not a piece of you. Any who, I really like your style. All I can ask if for you keep doing that which only you can.

Was just trying to be cute and funny. Looks like I got the opposite reaction!
