i don't like placing things like these under photo-manipulation, because that's not how I look at it. It's a photo to me. But it was manipulated to achieve this effect. It was a pain in the butt though

One picture consisted of me leaning, arms back bracing myself against a chair. The other one consisted of me standing straight up. Tried keeping my head in exactly the same spot when I move (we all know how that works)

lol, but seriously, I positioned the camera on a tripod and had my brother click two different poses so I wouldn't get out of position in transit to the camera. from there alignment, positioning, orientation, color correction, clone stamp/healing brush, etc etc. Then lastly I changed the overall color a bit to bring out the yellows and made the darks a little darker and less saturated and brought out the brights as well, let me know if you have any further questions

What a clever effect. I don't see their hands holding anything, but from the way the shroud(curtain) hangs, it looks less like the subject's falling and more like they've become weightless.
And the lightning is so very nice. : D
