it's probably one of my most difficult shots, one of the only ones I've set up

Wow, that is cool. Eventhough the subject does little moving in your portraits, they all feel so energetic and complete. Glad to have you in the DA community, keep postin! ^^

Gorgeous movement and genuine emotion in this picture. The fact that it is slightly tilted and crops off part of the left curtain intensifies the urgent occasion of the capture. I appreciate the grain, personally - it causes the viewer to concentrate on the form and mood of the composition rather than the minute details. Great B/W photo.

thanks a lot. The fact that it was off-center upset me at first when it came out, but then it grew on me, and I agree, it does add a sense of urgence
thanks for taking the time to comment

good layout and execution. The light is good. THe large grain is the only thing Im not sure I like. It makes it look more like a sketch. nice work

the grain was intentionally added, I didn't want it to look very clean-cut, I wanted more spontaniousness and busyness... I don't know if I achieved it, but that's what I was going for. thanks for the comments!
