Description
Just a spring-type photo featuring my famous bamboo plant.TECH
Nothing fancy about this one. The bamboo is in the window, so I shot it with my Sigma 105mm macro lens, which rules BTW. You just need to not use the autofocus on it because it's noisy and slow.

minimalist... pretty much too simple IMO.
I mean, when i see this, i wish there was more.

I really think doppleganging you is going to be the most difficult. Your gallery covers such a broad spectrum so proficiently. There isn't just one feeling to capture.... this is going to be a challenge

I'm already jotting down ideas for each gallery. But finding the time/objects for my ideas is going to be half of the challenge. dun dun DUH!

Mmm.
It looks like a background was used... Like a piece of paper or something... Heh...
I love the smoothness and the clarity... and angle... and cropping... and vibrance... and minimalism...
(shh, it's morning)
Nice work

Nice contracts in colours, and a lovely minimalist effect.

the "slightly funky colors" are what make the picture. its soo relaxing and beautiful, yet soo simple and ordinary. good eye!

Mmmn, don't like this one much, amazingly enough. I think you could've gotten the focus a little better to draw out the texture of the leaves more, thus taking away that odd pixelated look that some of the spots have (especially the right-most leaf). The shadows are a nice part, they give it a good edge for some bits, but they contrast too much with (again) that pixelation you've got going on. I think, in short, it's just the pixelation that's irking me. The color is interesting, but it's not the most attractive of combinations. Maybe if the focus had been different, the color variants in the grain of the leaves would have made it better.
Good attempt, at least. Must've been a nice plant.

hmmm not sure if i could get much more texture than that those "pixelated" spots are actually plant cells with various levels of chlorophyll in them. they have different brightness levels because the light shining through them from behind highlights their various densities.

Wow... That sky is amazingly blue! And the detail on the macro is awesome
It may be "nothing fancy", like you said, but it's a nice shot!
(and this time, I know that this is not a recent submission! )

Simple, awsome, beautiful. That's all I can muster for this one Kev, you have worn me out what with my being ill and everything. Spring-like too. I need a theasaurus to comment on your work. Incredible stuff and now I shall stop repeating myself.

yesterday i was holding a mare in rad-land, and she kept trying to eat my gown. I tried to tell her lead=evil, but her baby had all kinds of things wrong with her so maybe she was looking for a way out....

That is one healthy looking bamboo plant! Beautiful colors and the minimalism is just awesome. There's a lot of bamboo where I live, but they don't look as pretty as that one! Well.. perhaps I should go to a plant nursery sometime and try adopting one

Great, sometimes I love looking at very detailed photos with many characteristics. But often times I prefer the simplicity and minimalism, and you mastered this here. You see two three colors, and that is it, you see minor texture, and very little detail. You see shadow, sky color, and the plant, and this is all. Thatβs what this photo is so fascinating, because itβs so wonderfully simple, and a photo canβt be beat if itβs simple and perfect, like this. βSigma 105mm macro lens, which rules BTW.β Nice
sorry for the short comments, i'm in some rush !

I like the simplicity of this one very much, one of the most remarkable details is the play with shadows in this picture!
