Please, please tell me how you went about lighting this. I'm new at photograpy using artificial light, (in fact, I'm pretty much just new to photography) and I've been trying to shoot something with a pristinly white background such as this. So far, all my pictures look like crap. Everything turn out kind of yellowish, even though, on the set, it looks like it should turn bright white.

Where did you place your lights? What kind of lighting did you use?

Thanks for any advice you have

there is only one light in this photo. it's a softbox placed directly behind the subject. if you don't have a softbox, you should light your background to be 1-2 stops overexposed compared to your subject and it will show up nice and bright white.

i'm telling yah, nature knows what it's about. so we should stop cutting off animal tails. especially on cows.

but anyhow, again with the crazy intense green madness!! woo! love the green! the green rocks!

this makes me want to have a plant.... but then I think of how sad it would be if this picture was of a plant in my house.... nature wouldn't stand a chances....leaves would be missing and the remaining leaves would look so much worse for wear......

cats are better then plants anyhow

When I get my own apartment, I plan to decorate it with prints of my own work, and the work of others. This and many other images that you've taken, Kev, have places reserved on my future walls. Kudos!

wow , the vivid contrast of the green versus the white is almost startling. "things have a way of finding thier own balance" so very true, we as people should really learn to be more like nature and just go with the natural flow of things. Great work Kev.

I love the simplicity of this shot. The lushness of the green against the white background. The way the light is reflecting off the leaves giving them almost a incandescent look. I'm particularly fond of the way the leaves all converge to fold into eachother at the stem. Reminding us that we cannot achieve balance by focusing on one thing, we must strive to bring everything into balance for, like the leaves, they all support eachother.

Beautiful as always
