Whee, new character for RP-ing on Oak Hills!
I decided I needed a bitch to play (as in dog, female. she can be sweet.), so here she is!EDIT: Oak Hills is now Mushroom Grove. go check it out!
This is Nellie the Pomgirl. She is the full litter-sister of one of my other characters and if you have been watching me for a bit you should be able to guess who said character is quite easily
I was having trouble thinking of a callname for her until I researched and found out that Peach Melba the dessert was named after Nellie Melba the singer, and it just fit, so yay. Nellie's primarily a companion as opposed to a showgirl, and she's easygoing, playful and sweet as her namesake. But she can be a fierce little woman-on-top and she won't hesitate to make it known if she has to. She's probably what a pack would term a 'beta-dog'. As to the rest, we'll just let it develop as we go. I'll upload her profile later in the day

Read the description. I named her after the singer, Nellie Melba, since her show name is Gingernut's Peach Melba and that dessert was named after Nellie Melba.
Nellie is also my grandmother's name. I didn't just pull it out of a hat.

She's actually lighter and more pink than Peaches, if you put them side by side o.o Also the way her fur falls is different and she doesn't have the puffy topknot that Peachy does.

I love how you draw pomeranians. They're so.. fluffy, bouncy, and cute. XD I grew up around pomeranians for a while (my mother used to breed them), and you definitely capture them quite well! You should try drawing a puppy version of a pomeranian (or have you already?). They look like little bears.

Fweee, awesome! I love how you've made all three of them (Peaches, Cream, and now Nellie) so similar, and yet so different! Cream's distinct fur, Peaches' superfluff and topknot, and Nellie's little tuft (and her eyes are different from Peaches, too, VERY well done).
I just wanna dig my fingers in and give her a scritch in that cheek fluff. =]

Oh, I have a whole thing going with those Poms, you have no idea xD The kennel lines all trace back to the magnificent sire, Ch. (something or other I can't recall but I wrote it down) Ginger Nut, and all his descendants have been named with that prefix. and after desserts. yay. just because they're fun. I love naming things. :3

And good for Reina, real life should -always- come first. =] I'm glad to hear she's okay.
Should I put a capper on the thread I had going with her, something to finish it off so it doesn't seem to dangle off into space? That way she's able to start fresh when she can come back, and doesn't have to worry about where Reina was last and what's going on there?

Names are fun to come up with. They can be hard to find but once you hit on the right one it's such a satisfying feeling
