Versión en español [link]My cooking tutorials:
Sorry for the large file!
Last week I decided I wanted to make a tutorial. Last Saturday, 7 am, I was half-sleep cooking french toast and thought it would make a great tutorial. Later that day I discovered it doesn't.
French toast may be too easy to deserve a tutorial, but well I already had the pictures... and I couldn't find another one in DA, so mine is already the better french toast tutorial, ha! (I hope that didn't sound as lame as it did in my head).
Bleh, well at least I got over the first tutorial issue. It was good practice and my next tutorials will be better, I promise
Awesome tips from awesome people:
It is a great way to use leftover bread (it can be a day or two old), and it's soft and moist

I've actually never made French toast before, and never realized it was so easy to make! I'll definitely be giving it a try now. Thank you!
Hmmm, I'm off tomorrow ... guess I won't be having cereal for breakfast, lol!

Hehe, it is! And it was okay, not stellar like I was expecting it to be. But I know what I did wrong -- too much egg! It's hard to control how much egg gets on it when you dip it with a fork. Also, I only used about half of the egg mixture I made up!
So I think next time I'll only use one egg and brush it on with my silicone brush. Also maybe add a little more sugar to the mix.

(sorry for being so late to answer). well it's difficult to make something perfect the first time, I'm glad you noticed what can be improved and that you already have some ideas in mind, they sound great! I hope your recipe and technique will keep improving

How is that possible? that's... different.
I still have to update this tutorial, lately I like to add some milk! It makes the bread softer and juicier. You can try any recipe

Wow, thanks. This seems even easier than making a sandwich. xD
I have to try this sometime, especially since there isn't too many ingredients needed.

Where I come from, we call this dish "Pain Doré" french to english translation is Golden Bread.
Since I am from Québec (Canada) it is impossible for me to go without Pure Maple Syrup on it.
It seems incomplete without it
I like to do this on weekends when I have lots of fresh fruits and whipped cream! It's almost like a desert.

Golden Bread! Beautiful name. Thank you for sharing! Ah, many people have told me how French toast is called around the world, it's so interesting, I love to know different things from other cultures
My boyfriend always has it with a generous amount of maple syrup and cinnamon I suppose you have something in common! (besides being the ones that know my super-weakness...).

muhahhaha! we know your weakness!!~~
But to be quite honest, when I refer to it in English (to my English speaking friends), I call them French Toast.
Inject it in my veinsssssssssssss!!! (too much? okay )
