Terms for using my tutorials
When using my tutorials or techniques explained in my tutorials all I need is that you say or write "Inspired by Talty" somewhere on the description, that's all I'm asking for. A link back to my gallery or tutorial is appreciated, but not necessary. You can make anything in my tutorials for personal or commercial purposes (yes, that means you can sell what you make) but you can't claim these techniques as your own. No redistribution, reposting or repacking of my tutorials, images, text or any part of them is allowed. They can't be translated to other languages without my permission (ask me about it). FREE TUTORIAL, NEVER TRY TO SELL IT.
Sorry for the extremely large file!
~thinkpastel had a wonderful idea and used circle templates (the kind used for drafting) instead of the washer! [link] She says that she can work any scale up to 1:4, so you can try that too!
I finally finished this tutorial! It feels like it took me forever
I hope this is understandable
I think it's implicit, but anyway: the measures I gave are only for reference! Don't feel restrained by my instructions - use a washer of any size you want! Also, I don't have cutters (yet) but use any cutter you want and make plates with beautiful shapes!
Please show me what you can do using this tutorial! I would really really love to see your plates with or without food

Let me know if you use it! Washers and caps or whatever you can improvise as cutters should be easy to find
No problem!

This has been sitting around in my faves for a while, and I've yet to try it! It's so simple, too, so I really have no excuse! Maybe my excuse could be...I don't have any washers lying around - although I'm sure if I looked hard enough, I could find some. So yeah. No excuse, really.

O: I have got to try this now. Could you use a reverse method with a dime? Using the dime to gently press a crease in the middle to make a slightly larger plate?

I think that could work too, but I've never tried it because this works for me, but feel free to go ahead and try it let me know how it works!

:3 I saw yours and thought it would be an interesting idea for Christmas tree ornaments or as gifts to relatives, but they would need to be a bit bigger as ornaments so they wouldn't get lost or broken.

Well, I have school, and next semester, I'm there about eight hours a day and in after classes, because it's art school, the work usually takes at least three hours, and then I have my hobbies--I sculpt BJDs, and they take their own time, no matter what medium I use, and I also like to unwind by journaling, and that usually takes an hour and before I know it, I've stayed up past the time I wanted to sleep. I also, when I got more money, wanted to start experimenting with felting.
But.
I do use polyclay. And I enjoy it. Even though I'm looking for something cheaper. I'm looking at plastilina.

I love this idea! When you paint it the place a non baked piece to the plate, is it ok to bake it again?
π: 0 β©: 1
Talty In reply to DanaJenni [2012-08-23 23:13:26 +0000 UTC]
Thank you! Well some paints can be baked for short periods of time, but some can act up in the oven, make a small taste before ruining your masterpiece
