So I kind of screwed up. In the original version of this picture I put the DO/L's in bikinis because they were by the water and I was having a bit of a laugh. Been drawing them for years but never posted them because up until then they had never been colored. It was only later that I realized "Oh shit, this is the first time I've actually posted Dolls, people are going to think the bikinis are standard."

And so they did. Thus began my backpedaling. Well, with this new DA interface being what it is, I needed a cover image for my page and thought I'd use the opportunity to update this piece a bit.

While they don't really have much of a "uniform" (typically the buyer outfits them however they see fit) beyond the combat frame that protects the elbows and knees and mounts their gear, DO/L's have been seen primarily in two configurations. The "light" loadout, seen here, is generally for close-quarters exec-protect, sidearm only, SMG in certain cases. A "heavy" loaout has more coverage in the form of a bodysuit, often with a helmet, and is typically armed with a carbine. Weather specific variants exist, and DO/L's are known to go undercover should the situation demand it.

So yeah bikinis happen, but they sure as fuck aren't standard by any stretch.
