Description
This is the first tutorial I've ever made.Apophysis is a very fun program for me, and I wanted to share this great method to make a cool looking fractal.
Credit goes to for basically telling me how to make a fractal like this.

Fantastic tutorial. Very easy to follow and helpful in showing someone who's just getting started with Apophysis how to get into making their own neat fractals. Thank you very much for posting this.

thats a cool start try adding a gradient with different colors/values, it will give your piece a real kick

I tried putting a gradient that had lots of colors but it wouldn't put more then like 1 color on the actual fractal...I don't know how

well sometimes you have to actually go into the triangles and change the colors to get more variation in them...try that let me know how it works for you

I'm using the 2.09 version, and it doesn't have the Pitch, Yaw, Height, or Perspective on it.
Is there a way to get them?

you need the 3d hack

Pretty sure you just stole this tutorial and re-wrote it.

I'm pretty sure my computer is crappy enough that i can't download your tutorial to even look at it.
so, maybe the fact that apophysis is one of the most popular fractal programs and the fact that the julia tutorial is one of the most commonly looked for and popular for learning apophysis makes it so that the tutorials are really similar.
i don't steal others work.

why does this look almost identical to neoMWH's tut?

what?!
that's so wierd
well i guess since its pretty much the same type of tutorial (showing how to do the same thing) they are pretty similar.
I made this tutorial after a friend showed me how to do all of this, so i definitely didnt go and copy this guys work
they're both tutorials explaining how to do the same thing, it's not my fault we know the same stuff, now is it?
either way, I'm not deleting my tutorial.

no, im not asking you to. as a matter of fact, yours is a little more insightful.

Im not gonna say take it down but who you learned it from learned it from me so in fact it is a copy as I was the first to do this check my gallery.
Let alone this is nearly a word for word copy of my tutorial that I made and published Nearly a year before this was made.
Secondly you should think about what you said in the comments below this one, as you state that your computer is to crappy to download my zip file but yet you can render apophysis flames all day long.

TatiTerrestrial In reply to neoMWH [2010-05-27 21:27:34 +0000 UTC]
I actually don't render them all day long. and I did so on a different computer. I haven't even made a fractal in months. I'm not going to take it down, but I'm not saying I'm like, some fractal genius either. I didn't copy it from you. And its not my fault that maybe we have the same speaking style because I seriously wrote the instructions "words" on my own. the steps I learned from a friend, who I GAVE CREDIT TO.

Hey, great tutorial. At first I didn't know why I couldn't do anything but then I saw that I needed to download the 3D hack. Anyway, thanks. Hope I could become as good as you.

When I hit 'new blank flame' the image looks very different! Am I missing something? I'm using Apophysis 3d hack, was that the version this tut was written for?
π: 0 β©: 1
TatiTerrestrial In reply to azekariel [2008-09-01 23:54:28 +0000 UTC]
it should look kinda like a bunch of dots that are a bit scattered
its written for the apo 3d hack, idk why you're seein a different image
try again and let me know
ps, make sure linear3d is ZERO sometimes people forget! ^_^
take care :]

Haha. I got it. I was confused at first by the fact the 'what it should look like' image is above the instructions, but I got it rightish this time. I dunno why Apo was acting up the other night, but... yeah. I got it now, thanks for the awesome tutorial!
