Description
This and the "it's furry drama" argument are two that make me want to physically hurt somebody. Now nothing on the eggman character, but why are people asking for her to be in the games, when for years I'm sure people have been asking for the archie characters and we've got nothing back. And I'm sure these same people wouldn't like these guys in the game because they either look like fan characters or their not Sonic enough.And while I didn't like the video that much, one thing I will agree with on MeltingMan234 rant is how Archie Sonic fans get treated like outsiders. My guess as to why this is, is because the rest of the fandom sees them supporting a sonic fan fiction with other OC furry characters, because god forbid we get something out of Sonic's world, or a story that isn't Eggman did something, now Sonic has to stop him.
and you wonder why I don't take people (not all but a good chunk) seriously in this fandom.

Don't you just LOVE double standards? A mis-interpretation of a sprite becomes massively popular, but semi-official characters aren't exactly looked upon fondly.

I would love to see the archie cast (and maybe some of the uk comic cast maybe as an earth2 deal) in the games it would be awesome but sega of japan wont and I dont know how to get them to see it because when it comes to sonic no bunnie (rabbot) no money.
also there was a good female eggman, Mamma robotnik

Concerning the Archie cast, it would be neat to see Bunnie Rabbot, a cool big sister type with a robotic condition, Rotor Walrus, a muscular technician, and Nicole the Holo-Lynx, a sentient computer avatar, all find a place among the Sonic cast. However, then there's the case with bringing in the chipmunk princess created with leading a resistance force in mind, and the coyote who's a comic frenchman for comic frenchman's sake.
As much as I wouldn't mind Ovoid "Eggette/Omelette" Robotnik becoming a canon character, I wouldn't want hopes or expectations to go off the scale and through the roof over her, or disrespect what the Sonic Mania team wants to do next of their own accord.

Fun thing is I want the exact same thing. However, although Archie fans won't necessarily accept that, I'd rather retcon the characters' backstories in order to fit the game canon instead of keeping it as it'd feel forced. So Sally won't be the leader of the Freedom Fighters at first, Bunnie could've not been in the roboticizer but have prosthetics (pretty much like in the Archie reboot), Antoine still be the frenchman but not as comedic as in SatAM but be some sort of a joker swordsman (like having Spiderman without spider powers but a sword and a French accent), etc. 👍: 0 ⏩: 0

I haven't seen the complaints, and I'm not hating on the egg character but at the same time I find it odd how they want her in the game (some not all) and yet they hate the idea of Sonic's "Annoying" friends being in the games. Like I get it's more of a game and not a story, but you still want a reasonable amount of characters in the game to sort of drive a story home.
And while I'm not planning on getting it, I will give forces credit for at least bringing back silver and other characters, that's the step in the right direction in my eyes.

Like I'll admit, I like the character, but still...why do they want it to be cannon when they don't even want other Sonic characters in the game let alone anyone from the comics.

Yeah. Seeing it as a different character is one, treating it like that and begging SEGA to make her canon is just sad. It's like anything fan made that was designed in the Classic Sonic design gets a free pass while anything designed in the style of Legacy Sonic is treated like an unholy demon.
